Charging my new Riva

Just got my new Riva. Thanks to very helpful peeps here I am joyfully vaping on the spare battery until the main one charges.

It says to charge it for 8 hours, then vape for 20mins and then charge for another hour. I'll do that, but wondered if it makes a time difference if I'm charging it through the usb hub via my computer, or through the usb hub plugged into a wall charger?

No need for all that Angel, just charge them when they are drained.

Those are instructions that come from the manufacturers and are just generic (and outdated).

And, don't forget to read the text in bold on my website that tells you that the batteries have a 3 click on/off function

Very glad to know I don't have to charge them all that time - hubby is fighting me for the one I'm vaping on. I'll let him have a shot on the other one now

You need backups kibb

Then you will need backups for your backups - rule number 1 in vaping

Aye, I'm going to have to get hubby his own kit methinks Won't need to bother with a whole starter pack, but can just get another couple of batteries and clearomisers and we're good to go.

On the whole it's a bit of an outlay at first, but in the long run we'll be much better off. Used to spend about £300 a month on fags for us both (him on baccy, me on ready mades).

Thanks Karma. It's been a while since I've been this enthusiastic about much, but it's been a real eye-opener for me.

I've obviously been aware of the health risks with the fags, but my aunt died of lung cancer recently (at 83 after 65 years smoking), and I think that put the thought of lung disease into my subconscious.

When a friend who'd quit, but was finding it very hard, recommended a cig a like I decided I'd give it a shot, not expecting much at all. Very happy to have found this place and all the friendly peeps, advice, suppliers.

I've even gone public now about quitting on my Facebook page, and the supportive comments and interest are really gratifying.

Yep, that's all I was doing, giving it a shot. I didn't really believe that I could stop smoking

What juice are you vaping?

I'm still favouring the Menthol liquid I got free with my Liberro Realis starter kit. Got a free 30ml bottle - just as well I really like it

Have quite a few other wee bottles to try, but nothing touches the menthol for me, as yet. The Cherry Menthol by Paradise Vape is quite tasty too.

I didn't think I would get beyond tobac flavours or menthol, now I find myself trying all sorts

Can't really believe that smoking rollies was only one flavour

Like a lot of people, I started off looking for a tobacco tasting juice to match my cigs (marlboro). The 'tobacco' flavours I've tried have been awful, so I spread out a bit and I'm now loving coffee and chocolate type flavours. Nicotine and chocolate in one hit - what could be better??

Nicotine & coffee is another good one, coffee from Alba Vapours is brilliant.
