....That will take much higher volts without burning out. This video shows him holding down the button (non stop) on his GG for 6 & a half minutes @ 7.2v, without the atty blowing You don't need to watch it all the way through, you can just move th bar towards the end. More info on this thread. www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/46725-sample-hv-imeoatties-came.html

Ye gods, that is awesome, isn't it?
Also possibly one of the most bizarre videos to sit and watch, mind you - thanks for the tip about moving the bar!
Chrissie, with these higher voltage devices is there any concern about possibly getting up to the kind of temperatures where glycerine can start breaking down into the kind of stuff you really don't want to be inhaling?

Lol Tetsy, quite a few of Imeo's videos tend to be a bit bizarre Seriously though, he is constantly inventing new products for vapers. Apart from this attie, several different GG models, he has also invented an automatic feed system so you don't have to keep topping up your carts or drip your atties. I'm really not sure about the high temperatures breaking down the glycerine. I know a while back a poster from Germany was concerned about the issue. I think the main reason Imeo demonstrated using 7.2v was to show the strength of the atty. Standard 901 atties are killed stone dead if you put 6v through them for more than a few seconds.

It is one of the great things about forums like this, being alerted to the new developments that are coming out. Imeo certainly seems to be one of the most creative! I remembered there had been talk about an auto liquid feed - is this actually available now? (Ooooh, no - something else to lust after/yearn for...!!) Speaking of which - how's Garry's passthru going for you? Did you ever locate the adaptor for your powered hub??

Coo - getting awfully technical with these things, isn't it? Must confess that in my innocence I'd thought USB's were - well - universal!!
I am however suitably impressed that you seem to be negotiating these complications with great aplomb despite lack of assistance from Garry... well done you!

Scylla, I also feel a bit spurned, especially as in my email I asked him if he would like me to send him a large collection of dead atties I need the higher output USB adapters for Garry's passthrough as it works best at 5v.

So... I've either got my laptop direct or the mains/usb adapter from Simon which is just a 3-pin plug with a USB socket in it. Do you think I'd benefit from the 4-port you linked, Chrissie? I looked at my current account and it was nearly overflowing with money (by my standards) I ruthlessly transferred some into the "house fund" (I can get hit without warning for things like the front steps leaking into the basement flat) but it's still left me with a mischievous feeling I've already mentally bought a new PVR (cos I've only got 4 in action and 3 broken ones in the wardrobe), an all-in-one wireless printer/scanner, and new RAM and a Freeview HD TV card for my best notebook (as it has a better screen than my TV). Oh, and a longlife battery for the netbook. That's a lot of money Fortunately I'm good at procrastinating scylla

Marian, the difference is due to the Janty (like most other passthru's) having a battery in them that is just constantly being recharged via whatever power source it is plugged into. With these type of passthru's, you will only ever get a max of 3.7v output as the power is dictated by the battery. With Garry's & puresmokers PT's, you are taking the output from the power source. Both of these PT's work best at 5v. So you need something with a higher output to get them to work properly. Scylla, from the research I've been doing, it looks like the 3 pin USB adapters are 5V but only 1000ma & these PT's work better with 5v & 2000ma output. Got to admit though that I still don't fully understand about the ma bit though

I saw earlier that Imeo has his new atomiser available, but:
(1) It's about £15 delivered (if only buying one, obviously more would work out cheaper cos of the 1-off P&P), and
(2) He says it's for 7-something volts. Would that work with Nano?

I agree, they are a bit expensive but if they last a lot longer than normal atties they would be worth buying.
I've got to admit that I'm confused by them. I think he has stated they will work with any power battery but work best with the higher volts. At the moment he only has 801's for sale.

Good news for UK GG fans. Lisa is going to be a UK supplier of GG's (& other e-cig items) She is planning to have her website up & running by 14th December :-)

Yes, that is good news Did I mention that I agreed to swap my adapter so I could use the new atomiser with my Nano... only to be told that they won't work together? Yes, I know I did scylla
