Twisted and spaced or contact are different things, twisted is 2 ir more strands twisted together to make a thicker wire. But twisting is contact of two round wires..... Can't see how it can make full contact along its length to make one thicker wire. The avoid contact coils thing is about shorting between wraps/loops. If both ends of twisted have good contacts to the atty then contact between those wires makes no difference as it will not provide a shorter path and lower resistance.

Dunno, it played me up in my bread and butter kayfuns, can almost coil them with my eyes closed now days. Hendrix has too, going give that another chance, done a single Hendrix in a snap dragon tonight with nice clamp connections, not convenienced (yet) that anymore than a single wire with temp control equals accuracy. Anyway.....chat later in DNA200 thread... I would just stick with single NI200 chykensa , over a years worth of experience and advice on this on this forum for that.

It is like any electrical cable that has multiple strands of uninsulated conductor in, it only makes a diff in very high frequency and HiFi applications, that;s why I use litz interconnects. If you get probs it is just one end not making good contact.

trying to do tc with an ni200 coil on the mini nautilus using the dovpo forever 30w unit, the unit auto selected 450F as the temp to hit but it tasted nasty and burnt so I dialled it down to 380 and whilst the burnt taste is gone the juice has zero flavour and very little vape am I doing something wrong here or just not the best tank to try tc with ?

Try a few more wraps if they fit or thinner wire with a few more wraps if they don't nanotm. It could just be you need more contact area between the coil and wick.

Anyone on this thread any good with titanium coil builds? Been trying mine and for some reason I'm just not getting it right.. seems to be putting out no vapor but it made me light headed so I realised it is putting out TiO2 instead of vape. Tried again a few times with the same result..

Im trying/testing SS ATM but have read VapingBad has been using it, sure he will pop and help, if its a NI200 only mod I do know you have to adjust the temp, 90f from memory ?

Would be great to get some advice! Paranoid now of using it.. I've got the Kanger KBOX 200 mod which has a mode for each type of coil including Ti.

Try a few more wraps if they fit or thinner wire with a few more wraps if they don't nanotm . It could just be you need more contact area between the coil and wick. I went with a 7 wrap build in the subtank and it works perfectly at 380 on 20watts so i'll stick with that, although ive found that all my thin nic juices taste foul and make me go dizzy really fast, then I tried some high vg stuff at 3mg and it seems ok in terms of dizzy factor but the taste and smell are off, going to need to try something else now, maybe mix my own but that means steeping for ages and I'm just not sure I can be faffed with that unless I can say bang 20% of a single flavour conc into some base mix and vape it the next day, I really don't understand much about mixing other than measuring it out at as per the calc and shoving it the back of a cupbard for a month (because I haven't yet found anything other than bublegum or menthol flavours that I like as much as custards, and I don't know long or how to mix the bubblegum conc) meh i'll figure it out over time bound to be some threads about it all that I just haven't scrolled through to lol

nanotm - the worst bit of mixing is indeed the steeping/maturation time, but if you start now and mix some juice every weekend say, in a month you'll have the first lot on-stream, and if you continue to mix regularly, you'll soon build up a stock of juice that is ready to vape. Bubblegum and menthol are two flavours which won't need much more than a couple of days before they are ready, so would be good ones to start with while you wait for the dessert flavours like custard. I have literally litres of juice ready to go, and even if I didn't mix again for 4 months I reckon I would have enough to keep me going with a good choice of flavours too! Bite the bullet, and get started now.

I just made up my first tester of custard yesterday now I just have ot wait a month to see what its like, the big problem for me right now is I have zero idea what nic strength to go for and very little idea about what tank i'll want it in so not quite sure on the mix to aim for, I know I can suck 50/50 through a subtank (although it makes menthol flavours rather lively) but on the other hand I have been chugging several zero nic 70%vg flavours in the last few days and I am not sure if I should aim for that with other mixes ....
really I should probably wait for the mods and tanks I rodered (200w tc mod tfv4 and crius tanks) to arrive and see how they go, it might be that I no longer require nic in my adv and need ot chop it out, but a decent bit of kit will tell me that much better than my low air flow mini nautis /

VapingBad knows his stuff, he will be along sure enough... Sorry been out of town, brothers birthday do , I am no expert with Ti, blakey has been using it longer, but the main thing is not to pulse/dry burn until it glows and bin it if forms white oxide on the surface. I have a dual build in an atomiser that work well, but prefer twisted Ni, it is 0.4 mm from StealthVape IIRC 1 wraps on a2 mm former, but I think I 8 wraps would have been better.

Yep, as VapingBad says, do not dry burn and if it forms the white oxide - remove from attie and dispose of it. It is possible to clean the white oxide powder using an alcohol pad but I wouldn't really recommend it. i would however recommend using an alcohol swab to clean the wire prior to coiling to remove any machine gunk residue which can play havoc with your flavour. I have had mixed results using TI xantivenxm, You need a coil with ohms upwards of .15 for more accurate readings - I coil to about .25ohms myself using TI Some juices I can taste a strange metalic tang to the flavour but others I find it's a clean crisp flavour. I don't use it so much these days and if I do it's only in drippers so that I can keep an eye on the coil, when I used it in a tank and I got the slightest hint of a dry hit then my mind would be concerned that the coils had overheated and I wouldn't rest till I disassembled the tank to check the coil. Too much hassle for my liking. Never had a problem with NI200 and I continue to use it in preference. SS 316L wire has also been giving me some sensible results EDIT to add a link that I just found on google with some sensible help with TI use www.craftvapery.com/blog/joshs-definitive-guide-to-temperature-control-with-titanium-wire

having experience of what happens when you get metal poisoning I'll stay away from TiO2 thanks, Ni200 is safe on any mod that's limited below 625F,(most seem to be limited to 600F) I would actually prefer tc worked with A1 on more mods (apparently one I have ordered can do it) because the metal is much less likely to deform through use due ot the weight of the cotton ...but that's fine, for now I can stick to using the ni200
