Cambo, where have you got that link from? If you click on "view smilies" in the box to the right of quick reply (to the left on full reply & preview) then just click on the amilie of your choice. If you want to post other smilies, they need to be hosted via photobucket for instance & the IMG code C&P'd edit - looking at the code you posted you have got the smiley from "smileyswelove." & sadly some of the smiley sites aren't that safe, so not going to go there

Oh ok, I was just trying to get my own smileys to work from one of the chrome extensions. Usually you copy and paste the code and they just come up, but it wont let me do it on here. Thanks for helping though.

If it's a chrome extension then there shouldn't be any problems with viruses attached. Are you given an option of links to C&P ?

Yep. I copy and paste the code and that's how it comes up, as the code rather than the smiley as it should....

Hi cambo,
I've also been struggling with this, until I saw the box that Chrissie mentioned, to the right of the repy box which says 'view all smilies' and a pop up appears with the new ones. Click on you're desired one while the cursor is in your post and you shouldn't need to copy and paste anything. It will appear in the preview (I'm using Firefox). HTH

Thanks Raffles, I must say I didn't realise that box was there, but it was actually my own set of smileys I was trying to get to work. Still, the ones you've now brought to my attention will do nicely. #icon_thumbsup#

To get a smiley, or any other image, to appear use the [ img] [ /img] tags around the url (I've put spaces in to make them appear here correctly)

When you want to post an image, or smiley. I think you have to click the "reply " button. Then in the boxes above the white box, click the 4th from left in bottom row. Paste the url of the image between the brackets, and then preview to see if its there. Im sure someone will be able to show an easier way of explaining though.

There you go cambo - you just need to use the second part of the code like this -
