If I was in your shoes but had the knowledge I have now... I would order a derringer and a velocity. The derringer is a small and flavourful atty, easy to chuck a single coil in and get it working very well, very quickly The velocity is a dripper that has got to be one of the easiest and most flexible atties to build on for dual coils. You can order this now and play with it at your leisure and as soon as you are comfortable with dual coils, this will be a great atty to be using You may as well get both at the same time for their cost. Good luck and enjoy!

I have a Magma Paradigm and a Plume Veil violetblade, and both have the capacity for a single coil and the option to close the airflow from one side, thus directing air only over the coil. I have the exact same two. I give the Magma 1:1 clone 9/10 I give the Plume Veil a 7/10. The airflow ring on the Magma is fairly useless if you like to take the top off, as I do.

That's the reason that I prefer the PV to the Magma, djs - if the airflow ring was fixed and didn't rotate so easily the Magma would be a real contender

Lose the AFC ring in your vape box and vape a really strange looking dripper.

I had a fasttech Deringer clone, the grub threads went very quickly, the 1:1 velocity clones appear to be pretty good, I have three on the way. The look like Tobecos, same spares and squonker pin. I have one of my GB heavyweight monsters ( they are seriously heavy SS) running a single Ti-clapton, it seems to be the only way to have enough juice in the well. BTW no voodoo to dual coils, if you can make one....... you can make two

Seems like the velocity is winning so far thank you all for your suggestions and feel free to keep them coming it's nice to know tried and tested items from there before having to wait 3 weeks to get something not so good I am a worry wart Steve but I might have a go once I pick which 2 I'm ordering but thought to be on the safe side because I am far from a great coil builder that I would be best with one's I could run either or so when I fail at dual I can still use them in single coil mode.

lol, I have thrown away more coils than I have vaped, never been 100% happy with my latest creation first or second time round and I find that I turn into the most ham-fisted clutz making simple stuff.
if you are unsure of making dual coils fasttech have a range of premades, claptons, basic twists and single wires. I bought a few bags of 1.99 nickel coils and they were spot on. I have some fused claptons and twisted dual claptons in my latest order, I enjoy winding my own wire but 50 for £7.50 is just too easy.
