I don't use cartos much now, but I never really liked them at high voltages either. I mainly use stuff around the 2 ohm mark and that is fine for me at 4.2 ish volts most of the time.

I know this is a bit off topic but I had a right prob filling cartos to go in my chibi tank in my LT a few weeks ago... I have it sussed now (bar a little flooding). - Get a syringe - fill about 2ml
- poke right down side of carto to the bottom (after taking the cap off)
- Gradually fill as you slowly take the syringe out of the carto (it can go in fits and starts - no problem)
- repeat round edge of carto
- Punch hole in carto. Put in tank...fill up tank ....etc. etc.
