for some unknown reason im beating myself up over this decision
I want an Anarchist comp slam cap for a cloned tugboat v2
I love the tug v2, so should i buy an original before buying the slam cap or just get over myself and buy the cap ??
previously loved a petri rda clone so bought an original and prefer the clone

I was referring to the fact he already has a nice thing that does the job the way he likes so why waste money buying it again just to add something else he wants to it,
I spent money upgrading a computer where the upgrades cost more than the computer did, I don't try to find some way of justifying that other than it now does what I want but better than it did.
I make no judgement about the fact he wants to get a new part just that his attempt to justify getting it should be based on the need to get another more expensive version of the same device is flawed logically speaking, if he was looking at getting the upgrade and also wanting to get a new unit at the same time then its about personal choice if he wants "the genuine article" or is happy with the "fake version" when I buy things it down to practicalities not frivolities, a few years ago I bought a new chair, the "original cost £500 or the "fake" cost £100, the difference between them was the original had a sticker on it, they are both produced in the same factory by the same people are identicle and do exactly the same job, oh and the "original" has an optional extra of some nicer arm grips, I then spent £150 getting those optional extra arm grips and the headrest to put on my "fake" I still saved money for doing it "my way" and logically it made sense its consumerist emotions that don't make sense

I have 2 genuine tugboats and 1 (tobecco) clone in current rotation. 3 anarchist caps and 3 slam caps. I love them The clone works just about as well, although there is a little difference in quality. If I were you, I would just get the comp cap or slam cap (not sure which you were after), it will work just fine and you can pick up the flawless tug another time if you fancy
