One year ago today

I had my last fag. Was at a Christmas party in the Philippines. The smokers there were giving me pitying looks as I was puffing away on my Naturevape tank and Istick and one of them offered me a fag. Up to that point I was still dual fuelling, probably just because the psychological addiction to smoking is so strong I couldn't bear to let go of the death sticks even though I preferred Vaping.

That was my Road to Damascus moment. It dawned on me how disgusting fags actually taste and I haven't had one since.

As a measure of the dramatic improvement in my health I went out for an early morning cycle ride this morning. Cycling up long steep hills, six or eight months ago I would've been gasping for breath. Now I barely got out of breath. The first thing to give out were my legs.

I reckon I've not spent about 2 grand on fags since then. I'm frightened to sit down and work out what I've spent on Vaping but it's still a bargain.

Well done Harrold may you have many more successful years and I know I've spent way less on vaping than I would have on tobacco (well that's what I tell myself) I honestly can't stand the smell now and if I pass a smoker in the supermarket I feel physically sick and to think I used to smell like that

well I know exactly how much ive spent on vapeing in the months since I started, and whilst it rather dwarfs the amount I would have spent on tobacco in the same period I am rather hopeful the capital outlay on the hardware will slow down now, certainly the cost of juice per month is a fraction of the price of single pouch of baccy and if I can control the urge to splurge then I should be making actual savings by the time my sig reads 4 months (although that will only be by a few pennies lol) if that happens then I will be a very happy bunny otoh I do like the look of some of the bits I've seen in the last few days of sales so I might end up extending that lead tiem by a few more months

I'm now a couple of years on from Dual Fueling, i was the most addicted person in the World. I enjoyed every single cigarette of the 40 to 50 a day i ended up on.
I reckon I smoked, in total, more than a Half Million cigarettes in my life. Vaping has saved my life, I have No Doubt about that.
Now it must be time to start trying to fix the other 999,999 other MAJOR FAILS in my life. At least I'll be busy... Probably for the next 10 years

pedaldog I also used to smoke 40-50 a day - still have to pinch myself sometimes to believe I no longer smoke.

As I've never been badly affected by shinyitis, I've saved an absolute fortune
