I went to clean a couple of tanks this morning , looked at my sonic cleaner and the screen was dead ( I only used it yesterday ). So I checked the lead , fuse and plug , nothing wrong , so it's FUBAR.
The One I had was a cheap and cheerful ( or not so in this case ) Aldi/Lidl ( I can't remember which ) one , but it was basically a JPL 7000 with a different coloured body on it.I MAY have used it once a week , but more often than not it was used maybe a couple of times in about 3 weeks. It's under a year old , with little use , so I don't want another one like that.
What recommendations can you all give me please ???
Andy

Montana I don't suppose you still have the receipt for it? All Aldi & Lidl electrical goods come with a 3 year guarantee.

Montana I don't suppose you still have the receipt for it? All Aldi & Lidl electrical goods come with a 3 year guarantee. I take a photo or scan of these now, I had a 5 year car battery from Halfords that went after 2 years and it was almost impossible to read the receipt, I enlarged it with the scanner and got the store manager to sign a docket confirming the date of purchase. I exchanged it a another 2 times before the 5 years expired, well had got rid of the car by then any way, but scan (or take a pic with your phone) receipts for long warranties.

letsavit what was that cleaner I recommended to you and are you still happy with it? ( it looked good as you could take the tank off and fill/empty it away from the electronics)

Very happy with it and think the reason I couldn't take the tank of to fill/empty/clean my old one was the reason my last one blew up...

I like the fact you can take the tank off. It'll be getting it's first use tonight. No more messing about with denture tablets for me.

They've usually got a fairly reasonable one on offer at Maplins. Got mine form there over a year ago and use it every week

Nice and simple and a whole lot more effective than using denture tablets or running the atty under a tap. My watch is now all sprkly again too

I've just got a JPL 7000 from Maplins for £30.
If your unit is under a year old take it back. AFAIK all electrical appliances are supposed to be guaranteed for 2 years. If you are dealing with one of the big retailers you mentioned they should change it.
