I am now trying a new way of wicking as per this video

Give it half an hour and see how she goes. Have gotten into a bad habit though putting finger over airhole every few puff those if it saves my lip and cheek muscles all for it!!!

Even took it out in the wilds that is Union Square carpark and one mini dry hit - soon fixed. Vaped at a temp in the flat that would be impossible on old 'pancake' ish method of wicking - no probs. No soaking needed (you want a long 2 minutes? try pancake wicking of kayfun LOL) and really happy to have seemingly got this fixed - next test 2am juice (as in squash) wake up call LOL

well it wasn't a 2am test - more a 6am test as slept from 3pm yesterday to 6.30am this am

Funny this only kicked off when all my christian friends started praying re going 0nic mg/ml - thought at first - bad wicking day - hmm

Christians - no nic does not mean no vapes!! and the vape is a combination of dry ice stuff and child's cough medicine with a little food flavouring - do you really have to have a problem now?

Ok what am I doing wrong? rewick and rewire yesterday as per above (abou 1.4ohms or 1.6ohms resistance using kanthal) and now back to every 5-6 puffs dry hits..

only thing that solves that is letsavit vacuum method every 5-6 puffs

Any ideas?. No idea if I vape mouth to lung or what? I just take a toke and when it hits the back of my mouth/throat I exhale

Jane could you possibly take a picture of the coil and wick as it is that is causing dry hits? It may help others see/not see any potential issues

Well I have just rewicked a spare kayfun tank - no probs - 'old' wicking method I've used for months

Figure this is a spiritual battle with the vapes rather than mechanical

Favourite (original) kayfun not liking me this am - but when I rewicked I discovered the coil was on the deck(like touching) - just goes to prove how good a mod the IPV D2 is cos it was like that for over an hour an no exploding mod!!!

They don't like nicotine and refuse to vape it

They'll vape PG and VG no probs but even my wee 0.21ml per 30ml of nicotine juice in my bottle and they know

It's the invasion of the kayfuns LOL (now I Know why some folk have 10 LOL)

@johanino jane I found my coils droop to the deck on thin wire regardless of what I make it out of, the worst offender being ni200 because the wicks so heavy it falls to the deck and then the mod wont fire ..... my next lesson in coil building is going to be "how to make twisted coils" because so far i'm struggling a lot lol.

I am hopeing that my batteries arrive and I can start making all my coils out of a1 and still use tc (well providing the koopor plus actually does what it says on the tin) then I can investigate making claptons with the ni200 whilst I await the arrival of a tfv4

When trying to get a kayfun to work it is advisable to put the 3 sections of the outer tube right. Not 2 long or even 2 short but 1 long & 1 short lol
