IVP4 problem ?

Hi I've noticed a red led light just above the little input port on the front of my ivp4 ( not sure what this port is for, looks like a phono type socket), not noticed this before, is it some sort of warning ?

wil7985 - The led is a charging indicator and the port is for a (9V ? ) charger.
If the led is coming on of its own accord its possible there is a short on the charging board or a badly placed insulator causing a short between a screw post and the charging board.

Is the led on all the time or flashing ?

I would stop using it and pull the batteries till I got it checked out if I was you.
