3 weeks ago i made up some cream tea from flavour art 80GVG/20PG(just the concentrate is pg) , loved it and no problems. This week made some up 100ml but with 10ml pg from Vapable added to make it more tank friendly and every time i vape it i get a tummy ache within 10 mins. If i stop and vape something else it goes away after a while. Never had this before and its really pissed me off, anyone else had this? Here is the PG vapable.com/product/propylene-glycol-100ml/Sorry, just needed to rant.

Some people report having a reaction to PG, not sure if that's the case with you but you can't really connect your sore tummy to Vapeable's PG, I've used it many times and found it to be very good. Maybe you could add some distilled water to your future mixes if you need to loosen them up a bit.

furbs as phatfil said the nic strength being too high will bring on acute symptoms of illness, as lisburnvapes says its not likey to be the supplier's PG that's at fault, chances are you need to step down the nic ratio when you change the pg/vg ratio personally I found that in a 70%vg mix I 6mg is on the top end of what I can tolerate, but if I take 60%pg mix then my body is happy with 12mg (everyone is different) the transport medium change will likely be the reason for this change, or it could also be that your body isn't used ot the pg and a daily antihistamine tablet will alleviate the symptoms, a good test would be to pop to the local chemist and get a box of generic cetirizine pills (or you can by a branded one if like spending over the odds for half the pills ) you can test it out yourself just buy the pills and take one before you start vaping your fav juice and if you still get the smptoms your nic is too high, if it stops the symptoms then your having a mild reaction to pg, take the pills every day for a fortnight and see how you are without them on the same stuff, if the symptoms persist then you got a choice keep buying pills to get rid or change what your vaping /

Bit of background...vaping 2 and a half years, reduced my nic over the last 18 months to 3mg, been on 3mg only for over 9 months now. I think the reason could be ive been vaping DIY juice VG heavy for over a year now, pretty much all VG apart from the concentrate. The PG is fine, my Mrs is vaping it with no probs. Think im just not used to it.
Still a downer though.

Still a downer though. tolerance levels change within 14 days, whenever my doctor swapped my meds in the past he would give me an antihistamine pill for the first two weeks to reduce any side effects (the new one just gives me the anti allergy pills year round anyway for other allergies like pollen dust and pollution) the body is amazing at changing to accommodate new things but sometimes you have to give it and your mind some help

I am convinced I had a reaction to PG. When I first started vaping I was using 80% PG and I would regularly wake up in the night with legs cramps. and often have muscles aches during the day. I did some research and found out about that PG could cause muscle issues. When I dropped the PG level to below 70% I didn't have the problem anymore. From my sample of one - me - I certainly found that a small change in PG caused quite a dramatic change,

Could well be the PG. I had a similar thing but with VG. Vaped high VG for 8 months and then developed gastritis and reflux. Dropped my VG so now vape 50/50 and it's all cleared up and I can chain vape with no issues.
From my own research, there seems to be just as many people with VG intolerance as there are people with PG. everyone's physiology is different.

I think catface26's post is the key here. Everyone has a difference in tolerance to both PG and VG, but nanotm is also right when he says that the body will adjust. It might be worth trying the antihistamine tablet and see if everything calms down a bit as your body adjusts, otherwise drop the VG to a lower percentage and see how it goes. Don't be in any hurry to bin juices though; I can't vape high PG but every now and again I can get away with it for a few hours, and that's when I head for the juice box and vape some of my older and well steeped juices with more PG - works for me!
