I need to get at the battery.Plan B is a hammer and screwdriver,or power drill and coping saw. As an American it is my nature to not take no as an answer from any locked or sealed device.

Welcome to the forum, haven't got the 30 but the girlfriend has the DNA40, looking at Google the cases look much the same. Take the 4 bolts out (star heads) two top, two bottom and pull the sleeve (black bit) away from from "C" frame (silver bit)

Thanks letsavit. The store sales dept. said the case was press fitted together.I think maybe it is supposed to be unremovable and has to be broken to expose the battery. I think it is offensive when manufacturers make accessing the interiors of their products "impossible".It is mine,I paid for it,the insides belong to me.
