I found a Calipitter Chow clone recipe whilst browsing recipes recently. Nobody seemed to have the original concentrate in stock and I had the clone ingredients handy so I made up a small test batch with some tweaks - one week steeped and it's simply delicious, so much so I made up a further 200ml.
Which then got me thinking, what is the original Calipitter Chow like then? So I see Chef's Vapour got more stock of it in yesterday so I have ordered 50ml today.
I love my custard vapes, so are there any recipes or mixes you would recommend that include this strange concentrate?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know @hondo - but if you have the linkie to the clone recipe i'd be interested. Mind you it's hard enough getting concentrates that might be OK in China - but with only 500ml of premixed left - i'm going to have to find some soon or stop sub ohm or worse

I've got a bottle of the concentrate in my box that I've been meaning to mix up. I did taste a drop but couldn't put my finger on what it tasted like. Seeing this post has just reminded me about it

Sorry to hear the situation with concentrates in China :-( Here is the link and props to the original recipe creator "Superpredator". e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/140978/Calpitter+Chow+Clone+v1.0I think I misunderstood him in the comments and I just went right ahead and added 5% cake batter to his stock recipe. I also used CAP Smooth instead of MTS Vape Wizard (FA) as it seems to be the same thing. The result was delicious though IMO. So my actual test mix (which I've now named "Chumpy" due to the error with the Cake Batter) was: [CAP] New York Cheesecake @ 10% [CAP] Vanilla Custard (V1) @ 5% [CAP] Cake Batter @ 5% [FA] Graham Cracker Clear @ 5% [FA] Sweet Cream @ 2% [CAP] Smooth @ 0.2%It's a high flavour percentage for sure, but my oh my. Edited to add: And on a side note - really glad this recipe made me discover [Cap] Smooth. It really adds substance and "mouth feel" to recipes IMO.

Here is OliverB recipe which uses Calpitter Chow Frigging Whippet (Named after the weary woman in the supermarket last week who admonished her lively elderly parent with the words, 'Jesus, slow down, mother, you're like a frigging whippet!')
10% Tobacco Praze (Mom & Pop) 7% Calipitter Chow (Mom & Pop) 5% Vanilla Custard (Capella)
This isn't Manabush Pow Wow Sauce, but it lives in the same post code, and I suspect a little tweaking would bring it closer. It's also possible to have a brave stab at the other Manabush variants by replacing the custard with banana, coconut, caramel, chocolate, etc.I tried this and then changed the Tobacco Praze for CelticVapours RY8 and this is one of my ADV's

I'll let you know in about a week Carl. The Calipitter Chow concentrate from Chefs should arrive today, so I'll make up a small test batch straight away of just the concentrate and then it can go head to head with the clone after a weeks steep.
Edited to add: It's just arrived and I can tell just from sniffing it that nut is missing from that clone recipe :-)
Edited again later to add: Well, both the clone and original Calipitter Chow have yet to steep (and I will reserve absolute judgment until both have steeped), but I have seen many messages from vapers who enjoy Calipitter Chow unsteeped so I thought I'd try it straight away. Having done so I'm fairly confident that the clone recipe I linked is missing the mark by a considerable margin Carl. The original Calipitter Chow (unsteeped remember) has a strong smoked woody/nutty, maple/caramel (heck I don't know) undertone going on that the clone recipe totally lacks (even though it's tasty in its own right). The clone recipe I linked is a delicious desert type vape IMO, but Calipitter Chow immediately hits you as a complex beast that is in a different league entirely. Geez, if Calipitter Chow is this good unsteeped, well it's knocked me for six a bit to be honest.

I've not added base to either concs mix, yet, but I didn't expect it to be that close, to be honest, the actual concentrate is cheap enough, £30 for 150ml enough to make a litre of finished juice, I vape it from fresh and just gets better with time

I haven't been able to put the genuine Chow down since it arrived last week to be honest. I love the fact that it is delicious as a shake and vape with the benefit that it improves daily whilst the bottle lasts. I ordered £30 worth of genuine Chow concentrate the very next day and have enough here now for 600ml if I mix it at their recommended 20%. I worked the cost out to be just over £10 for 100ml of juice (all in), and that money for a one shot premium quality juice of this standard is hard to beat IMO and pointless trying to clone it whilst supply of the genuine concentrate is available. That said, I will still try to improve that clone recipe for fun and knowledge I think. I will start by reducing some percentages and adding nut (I think it's Acetyl Pyrazine in there) as well as maple or caramel (I think it's caramel as I keep getting brown sugar). That will nudge it closer I think, but there is something else savory in there that I just can't figure out at the moment. The other benefit of this thread for me is the discovery of Tobacco Praze (thanks again goneforagasper ). This is another M&P concentrate that I tried as a one shot and it is in a different league to any other tobacco juice I've tried before (except maybe Manabush). With this in one tank and the Chow in the other I'm in vaping heaven right now. Good luck with the mixing Carl, that clone recipe is definitely a tasty vape IMO. I'll report back if I have any success with the clone experiments.

If not, it might be an idea to grab some with your next order.
