Hello All,

I've been reading these forums for a couple of weeks now and thought that it's about time i said hi.

I hopefully put out my last ever fag on the 04/01/16 after purchasing a curve 2 from the local vape shop. I honestly never want to light another again and I'm gutted that i didn't do it earlier as the benefits to my health & wallet are already apparent.

2 weeks later i started making my own juice as the prices the shops charge are quite frankly a rip off. Whist my wife was initially concerned at finding me in the spare room with a number of syringes and bottles she has since come round.

Today's leaning has been around the impacts of the TPD. I've signed the petition and i'm now trying to work out what i can do to protect myself going forwards. I guess i'll need to stock up on VG, PG, Nic & Flavourings and invest in a new device. But any suggestions for a 'TPD protection kit' would be appreciated.

Whist there was, and still is, a lot to get my head around this forum has been a great help and i just wanted to say thanks.

Welcome and well done, obviously quick learner, and also a Terry Pratchett fan ?
My view on TDP is i'm not worrying much, I order everything from China, and those sods wont stop sending, you only have to look at the customs label on every package !! I shall be ordering a years worth of juice next month just in case, so a double order, but I think we are going to be ok, not everyone agrees.

Whilst you are right to be concerned about the TPD and its effects on us, we don't need to panic too much (although I amd sure that others will be quick to disagree!).
Nicotine base is really the only thing you need to stock up on, because all the other ingredients are used for many other products too. Home-made cakes and hand cream will cease if food flavourings and VG are banned, and I don't think that will happen!
Shops will have a grace period until early 2017 to sell off stock which is non-compliant, and as mentioned above, we will still be able to buy from Chinese sites. Batteries are used in torches (indeed that is where the inspiration for the first mechanical mod came from), and all other spares and accessories don't contain nicotine so are not covered by the TPD>

Treat yourself to some nic base, and essentially carry on as usual whilst keeping an eye open for future announcements and developments on this matter

I am sure other will come to your aid with regard to the TPD, however PG, VG and Flavouring will not be covered by the TPD. Nic will and there are a couple of very informative threads about storing and freezing Nic. *-SARIN-* is a chemist and provided some expert advice.

There are some great places to buy liquids that are much cheaper than your local BandM store. I have used One Pound Liquid, other swear by Rejuiced and dripdropvapour.co.uk. All three pop into the forums from time to time.

For mixing don't forget the mixing forum, we have some really very good mixers here including kreed who has provided a recipe for a custard that most feel is one of the best they have ever tasted, and lairey who is always happy to help.
