Is there any difference between using a 75/100/150/200watt device on TC when they generally all go to the same temps?

Yes! You need to stand on one leg and waggle your left ear to feel it

Yes, no and depends on the device a bit, IMO better to not go too far above where it settles if your mod has a preheat like the Evolvs and I think Evic Minis in case you get a connection issue and get too much power. But if it hasn't got a preheat some people like to set the watts high to get the coils up to temp quicker.

Ah right, I thought they used all of the available power, but if you had a 200 watt device, then you might set the max at 100.

yes there is, to put it as simple as I can.. say I'm vaping a .04 ohm coil right now. at 50w (100w preheat) I can't reach my preferred 480f.. I have to up the watts to 65 for it to reach the temp.. Also I don't like the drop off of watts, I can feel it get weaker so I set my profile up so I'm hitting my prefered temp towards the end of my drag..

Ah right, I thought they used all of the available power, but if you had a 200 watt device, then you might set the max at 100. They differ slightly, but in general they will use all the power until you got to the temp, so on some mods having the watts higher gets you their quicker, but if there was a connection prob causing it to not sense the temp correctly it could well burn your wick if it is too high. DNAs are a little different, DNA40 will max power for up to a second or you are 100 F below temp whichever comes first and DNA 200 you can configure if exactly how you want. Also too much preheat/power can give ss coils problems and make ss wicks on gennies arch.

I have mini evic which I had set at 500f and 75watts, but I've just found a couple of new 30 amp batteries, far better than what I had in previous, with one of those in and it set to 500f and the power at 30watts within 2 second it's at 15 watts and hitting protection after about 1 second. Just noticed the ohms jumping on standby it's reading .19 fire it and it jumps to .46?

Sounds about the right size ohm increase Bluefish, form room temp 70 F to about 400 F is double the ohms with nickel.

I set the watts just above what's required to run at the temp I want/the attys limits... ie extreme example..
Normal kayfun on a DNA200 = 25 watts, if temp control plays me up, jump in ohms etc I get a warning hit as opposed to a massive 200 watt burnt hit.

So I got this squonker. TC set to 380, watts at 59.9 but will set to 60 on its own. Coil is .25 ohms
Is it OK? It tastes OK as long as I juice it up regularly. Doesn't appear to be very ng too hot either
