I rewick every week but don't feel the need to recoil more than once a month. A quick dry burn normally puts the coil back into good condition.
A lot depends on the juice though, with Bobas Bounty the coil and wick won't last long !

not as often as I should, more often that some though ... most of the time when I re-wick I damage the coil and end up doing a full rebuild I guess I build the coils to tight /

Re-wicking? - every week at the most for custards and other sweet juices, more for the fruits and lighter flavours. Re-coiling? - when it needs to be done (every month or 6 weeks), unless I get the urge and have the time to improve a coil or try a different resistance.

I basically agree with Andy chykensa . I replace wicks every 3 or 4 weeks, coils I seldom replace! Jim

Its one of the reasons I stick to kanthal, I'm a slovenly builder - I dry burn and rewick as little as possible and teh coil gets eked out for months... maybe I should be a genny user?

Sorry, short for genesis build. When you use a rolled up stainless steel wick and wrap wire around it, its an old method but a good'un (for tobaccos especially)

I the build is working I will leave it. Nick

Jim Like this, Ni200 ribbon sleeper (means single bit of wire for both coils), this has ss rope wicks under the mesh but that is optional, ultimate in low maintenance IMO coils and wicks can last indefinitely.
