My sub tank mini came with what I think is the V1 RBA deck which I just couldn't get on with and had dry hits galore and burned wicks and very little flavour - its this one
So I have replaced it with what I think is the V2 - this one
I'm vaping it now and its performing well - however it was a PITA to get that fiddly little screw back in and done up, I dropped it about a dozen times thankfully over a tray but a couple of times it bounced and was almost gone - there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever I am going to lose the ruddy thing plus it was so fecking fiddly to do up that I almost gave up and bunged a stock head in instead, its only because I'm stubborn and wanted to see what the RBA was like that I didn't throw the whole lot across the room in frustration. Sooo knowing that I am going to lose that screw can you tell me what difference it'll make if I do? Will be able to use the RBA without it and if so does that mean leaks? And whist we're on the subject can someone point me to some premade 0.5 coils for that deck please. Many thanks.

You don't need to remove that screw, you just need to loosen it enough to remove the chimney. If you lose it then the chimney will spin when fitting to the tank and mess up your wicking.

I prefer the V1 as its easy to wick kfun style but it does need some attention, namely the 2 chanels need filing out. If you wanna post it over to me ill file it out for ya and send it back. With regards to the initial question it only really needs about a 1/4 turn from tight to get the chamber off/on. If you put it in a tank every time you take the tank apart it will snafu your wicking arrangement if you leave the screw out. Not so bad if you have a top fill tank.
DOH! as blakey says never thought about it spinin goin in.

I made the same mistake with it as you in the beginning snow and completely removed it spent half an hour trying to get the bugger back in now I only give it a couple of turns and the chimney pulls off easily also I don't over tighten it once it stops turning easily I pull the chimney to make sure it's secure and then leave it because the head on that screw is teeny and I'd end up stripping it

I opened up a new rba head the other day and just could not get that flippin screw unscrewed no matter what I tried, I spent all evening on the damned thing trying small knife points, different small tools etc etc etc whilst my 'ol man was sleeping off a drinking binge (as usual) The amount of times I nearly threw the whole thing across the room was nobody's business and if you could have heard my language, well say no more So as soon as the 'ol man woke up I gave it to him to do and even he couldn't get it unscrewed with any of his work tools. Damn thing was screwed in so tight it was impossible. In the end he ended up using a very thin set of pliers which managed to budge it so that I could eventually use the little screwdriver on it

toots , snow , for any future problems with vaping gear that may push you to the point of swearing and throwing said item or any other item that may be in reach, across the room, I give you one cure for all problems Between 2-200 blows with this little monster will solve any vape related problem. It will also prevent the need to return to problem item at a later date as it will be absolutely fecked. It will also eliminate any additional hair pulling, swearing and general unruly behaviour in the home. Trust me I've tried it and it works a treat.
