Get Off My Cloud will you be getting the Sigelei 90W Plus 26650 mod see kit around 65 quid with tank I like the look of the mod except for the vents on the battery door but that's just an aesthetic thing, have no interest in the tank. I think i'd rather have the Vaporflask Stout, similar format single 26650 100W but i like the aesthetics more, same price around £65. Don't get a tank with it but it does support SS TC and has upgradeable firmware.

With 200W on 2 18650s, what's the min safe resistance? To the internets! Two 18650s 3.7V in series, lets say Samsung 25Rs 2500mAH. Each max out at 20A . 40A in series. Ohms law calc from Steam Engine : assuming 0.2 ohm resistance gives 31.62 A. Looks ok! 0.1 ohm though pushes it to 44.72A. Safe spot limit appears to be 0.13 ohms. Is that right or is maffs harder than me? Not quite. Cells in parallel you can double the current, cells in series you now have 8.4V at full charge but a maximum of 20A. Ends up the same power though - 8.4x20=4.2x40 Which is under 200W without accounting for losses in the regulation circuitry. Realistically we should be checking at a lower voltage as cells will be discharging quickly at such high currents. At 3.8V per cell and 20A we have a maximum of 150W - this ignores the hefty voltage sag at such current draws and any losses in the circuitry. 200W and two 18650s is unsafe. The DNA200 devices limit you to 133W with two cells.

The answer is they don't really do 200 W, maybe for a few puffs with VTC3 or 4s. But resistance is irrelevant on regulated mods and battery safety, you need to calc by Watts. Take the max watts and multiply by 1.1 (allows for about 9% loss from electrical efficiency) to get the power need from the batteries. They have to work harder so work at a lower voltage like 3.2 - 3.5 V per battery, this is being generous and not even factoring in a 0.5 1.5 V sag. Current = Power/Voltage = 220 W / 3.2 V = 68.75 A, half that for each battery and you need about 34.4 A per battery for 200 W.
Current = (max power x 1.1) / (3.2 V x number of battery cells)
