I really really wanted one of these when they 1st came out
kinda glad I didn't as the one peace chimney wold put a stop to vert coils

I got an original rather than a clone (or at least the verification code checked out).

did you also find it was a pita to line up the threads when attaching the base to the tank ?

I know what you mean about the airflow I struggled to find which way was open on the stupid damn thing, it seemed like it was closed when fully wound in either direction and fully open was half way between the two....

lack of instructions in the box was another negative, I spent a good 45 minutes trying to find out how to swap over the decks

No the base screwed onto the deck well enough the only issue i had was trying to turn that juice flow ring when it was assembled i either couldn't turn it or the base would start unscrewing from the tank with it too.
In the end i took the centre part out of the juice flow ring so it's permanently open.
I also took the cotton retaining ring off the deck and laid my cotton right down to the bottom of the juice channels so as to reduce flooding when filling.

The manufacturers suggested retail price is $49.99 on the authentic, the clone is $18.99.
Sure it's not SvoeMesto type prices but the clone is still a decent saving.
