I made a BIG mistake today

I have just reached 2 years without a fag so looking at my forum banner I boasted to my wife that I had gone 2 years, avoided 22,050 cigarettes and saved £9480 .
I expected a “well done darling” or “ I’m so proud of you” but no, all I got was “so where is the £9480 “

You would think that at my age I would have learned to keep my big mouth shut, I'm old enough to know better !!!!!!!!

I've also saved about £9000, goneforagasper, although I think I know where I've spent it............ In the chippy, lol, ive put on about a stone since I quit the fags !

my missus regularly looks over my shoulder to see how much the counter says I saved, then hints that In a few more months it might equal the spending thus far .... she's not wrong but I don't expect to need to spend too much more now, just pg/vg/concs should be needed over the coming months but even that is likely to be too much for her precious mind ... maybe if I actually start saving money she will be happy ....

Ive spent loads on vaping in 4 years+ but especially the last year.
Future proofing has been my game and my wife has understood that.
Might be a good case for you
Now I can relax and buy the odd item if it's a super bargain or an atty I feel could be an improvement on what I use.
That's not often now though as I'm very satisfied

My wife can't say diddly about saving, as she often tells me how much she saved, just because her latest outfit was 50% off the list price. I then tell her she could have saved lots more by not buying it in the first place. Good on you for being 2 years stinkys free.
