I've been mixing for a while and a couple of friends have asked me to mix for them and offered to pay, which I resisted but we agreed on a cost price charge. So, I did some sums and surprised myself at the result. I use "average" prices as there are sometimes deals and discounts, so I've tried to get an average. Nic 72mg Base - £50/l VG/PG - £8/l Flavor - £10/30ml (£333/l) !!!!!
SO, making up 10ml of RA @17% in a 70vg base @6mg:
Nic (6mg) 0.8ml £0.04 PG 0.5ml £0.01 VG 7.0ml £0.06 RA (17%) 1.7ml £0.57
Total 10ml £0.67
From this I deduced that my 1.5l Nic in the freezer will last (at 10ml/day which is more than I get through) over 1500 days (about 4 years plus) Also, no need to stock up on Nic, but actively seek deals on concentrate

My calculations have always priced DIY e-juice at about 60-70p for 10ml. The main cost being flavour concentrate. Unless you make your own you probably do not realise how cheap this stuff really is.

thebishman, I've checked the figures and I'm certain they're correct. I didn't realise it was so cheap either, but the shock was the flavor costs... I do the same, DIY for work and some evenings and splash out on the occasional treat when I want something I'm not capable of mixing yet.

They are correct with the concentrate at £10 but it's even better if you pay £5 for 30ml.

I'm looking at some flavhora concentrates at the moment just under £4 for 15ml but there supposed to be very strong and a 5% mix I'm told is a very strong mix for these.

This is why I don't mind vaping 20ml a day

I use the E-liquid Recipes site and the Calculator on there allows you to input your PG, VG, Nic, concentrates etc. costs and then calculates the cost of your mixes. Very handy and my mixes range from about 55p to 75p for 10ml depending on the concentrate costs.
