The little rubber grommet on the left hand side of the photo below? The photo shows an isub coil head but they have been a common component in many different coil heads over the years. They are used to separate the positive and negative coil leads with the negative lead being caught between the coil body and the outside of the grommet and the positive lead between the inside of the grommet and the positive pin. Do you know the technical term for them and do you have any idea where I might buy some? A couple of years ago, in the days of recoiling Kanger evod heads, someone on the forum posted a link to where they could be bought but I can't find the link anywhere.

I know you can but the stock coil heads are a doddle to recoil in under 2 minutes (as long as you don't rip the insulator ) and there are no fiddly screws to mess about with.

Peter, could I ask you to measure the inside and outside diameter of the protank insulator ... just approximately will do and no big hurry mate. The isub insulator is about 7mm OD and 6mm ID. If the protank insulators are something the same I will order some from fleabay. Thanks for your link and kind offer.

I have plenty of heads mate but the rubber insulators are very flimsy and when you recoil a head a few times, the wire leads tend to cut through the insulator especially if using 24 gauge kanthal. Ideally a stock of spare insulators is what I needd.

@yinyang I had the same problem but for the Nautilus coils. The only way I found to get them was for vapers to give me their old ones. Some people I make juice for just give me their old ones. Others I return 1 recoiled head for every 2 used. I started giving 10 recoiled heads to people we had introduced to vaping but discovered it's better to let them start with stock coils and when they have mastered the basics give them the option. I still get the used ones though.
