This has happened 3 times now.. im happily TC vaping with a 205C limit using a uwell crown atty and stock ni200 coil @40w when all of a sudden the vape is HOT, and dropping the wattage down to 1w has No effect the vape is still Too hot?? the coil resistance is being read ok @ 0.2ohm
the solution lies in removing the atty and replacing it but a few hours more vaping and the self same thing occurs???
Whats going on here??
anyone else had similar??

Bad connection somewhere? ( i have seen the Crown coils slacken off in use) try locking the ohm's and see if that makes a difference.
I have used the Ni200 coils on both of my DNA 200's and have not had any issues other than of my own doing, the SS coils are a different kettle of fish and constantly drop out of TC supposedly due to having Nickel legs? I now just run them in wattage mode. Infact i have tended to move away from TC the last few months and run mostly in power mode.

well ive loaded the mod specific profiles, and it happened again as soon as i switched to the ni200 profile, and was fixed by an unscrew - rescrew back on of the atty.
Also i now notice that its prone to drop out of tc mode ( the temp on the display is replaced with "---")

Never used them, but they seem to be the most problematic coils out there for temp control. The DNAs will drop out of temp control if they don't see the resistance raise the equivalent if 150 F in the first second, its a safety feature. A connection problem is the most likely, but also setting the power too low or the preheat too low could cause it.

I do seem to enjoy a much cooler TC vape than most (circa 200c on most devices ), and i generally start a new atty/juice @ 25w and step up as i settle on what seems good, and rarely go above 50w.. I did initially use escribe to drop the initial preheat down, but have since downloaded and used the 6 x wire profiles from www.djlsbvapes.com/dna200/Now im more aware ive checked the other atty im currently TC vaping with a tvf4 mini with another stock ni200 coil in it. It too is dropping out of TC mode, It seems that if i apply a tad more torque to the atty if it drops out it will stay in TC mode for a few vapes before reverting back and dropping out of TC mode again??.. Perhaps i should stick to dna40s and my other TC mods with these aty's and stock coils, im not happy overburdening the vt200 brass 510.. i have some tc coils from FT (Ni, Ti, SS etc..) while i can just about make a decent coil with kanthal, my diy coils with ni200 are simply pants, so im looking forward to dna200 vaping with rtas and drippers when they arrive I am still very puzzled how i could get a Very hot vape with the wattage set to 1w even with it dropping out into power mode?? unless the heat is residual from the preheat that didnt register a resistance change?
