My 30w istick is on its last legs so it's time to look for a replacement. I like pocket friendly mods and like the look of both the COV Mini Volt and also the Kangside vamo KSD 25w. I only vape at about 10w and the istick has been lasting me all day on a 1.5ohm build so either of these should get me through a shift at work. I know the KSD only takes an 18350 but it is a simple matter to keep a spare in my pocket. So which one would you recommend and why please.
Also, while I'm here, these mods lend themselves to stealthy drippers but as want to be able to use it while driving, has anyone got a recommendation for a small tank?

I've been sniffing around pocket friendly mods lately. I think there are two versions of the KSD, one has a removable 18350, the other doesn't. I don't know how to distinguish them yet. There's also the Nugget: www.dnavapes.com/collections/variable-voltage-mods/products/artery-nugget-modAnd also a 22w Kamry. Fasttech have them. They look pretty shit in photos. But I handled one in a local vape shop, and they felt very svelte and solid... Up until now I was using a Le Petit Gros clone. Depending on your atomiser, and how you feel about mechs that is super stealthy. I use it with a Gem, Kayfun and a Goblin Mini, and it will slip into the condom pocket on a pair of jeans. I've just ordered another. I use them with button top 18350s so I don't have to worry about protruding 510s...

Mini Volt gets my vote. Best thing I have bought in ages.

The mini volt is a cracking little mod. Looks great with a goblin mini on top

Thanks for the info guys. I can't find the kamry 22w on fastech, only the 20w. The mini volt is looking favourite at the moment. Would the mini goblin run ok on a sigle coil build? Any wicking problems?

I'm getting leaks from goblin mini but its user error. Just got to get wicking right. Its ace when it works and looks lovely on the volt. Very compact yet smart setup

Thanks spikey. I like the look of the mini volt tank and it's top fill. I have found the complete kit quite cheap at puffdade. The thing that puts me off is the heads. I don't normally subohm and the choice of heads is limited to 0.8ohm unless they are interchangable with other heads.

They got a small aromamiser which would look nice on top.

All the recent Council of Vapor tanks have interchangeable coils. I thought about one of their tanks for my pocket friendly setup, but couldn't face having to buy pre-made coils. This is the kamry: m.fasttech.com/products/0/10012928/2178503-kamry-20-mini-box-2000mah-vw-variable-wattage-apvWas definitely 22watt in the shop... I love the Goblin Mini. But wicking/leaking/dry hits feel like a knife edge. Really impressed with the Gem clone that I got this week. Easy to build, really refined airflow. Not very cloudy though. Got red-carded yesterday by the postman. Just been to collect a Nextiny clone. Not having built Gennies before, I was expecting a week of swearing and pain setting it up after everything I'd read. Was actually pretty easy. Surprisingly. I'd say easier than a Goblin Mini. Might just suite me better. Svelte little setup with an LPG...

Mini Volt is a decent enough mod but the fact that you have to keep waking the damn thing up is a PITA, especially if you're driving.
Relegated to weekends only for a night out, it's a good size to slip into your pocket.

Thanks for the posts. I made up my mind to order a KSD 25w and a GS air-MS to go on top, bloomin typical I now can't find a KSD 25w in stock anywhere. It looks like I may go for the mini volt kit with tank and order a GS Air-MS as a back up tank from china.

If your heart is set on a Vamo 25w I do have one in black that I don't use anymore due to using my istick combo.
I've got 4x 18350 batteries too.
Message me with an offer...
