A month ago I came down with a Chest Infection and despite a week long dose of very strong Antibiotics, I completely lost all sense of taste and had difficulty breathing. But, by far the worst effect was my lack of being able to vape properly.
My normal consumption went down from a daily 4ml to less than 1ml and my Istick charge was lasting 6+ days. Lacking my normal nicotine fix, I was tetchy, irritable, frustrated and just generally bloomin' miserable.
It is only in the last 2 days that I have been able to have a decent draw without coughing down to my toe nails and my e-juice use has returned to normal levels.
Still a bit wheezy, fatigued and coughing a little, but well on the way to a full recovery and definitely enjoying the taste and throat hit of a proper vape.

I know how you feel I had a cough and chest infection for around 5 weeks. Very worrying. Welcome back to happiness

Just on the tail end of all this crap myself, first time I've been off work due to illness in the last 8 years. This cold started in early January and every time I thought it had gone it came right back. Spent last week with a chest infection that's still making my mornings a painful coughing fest. Wish you well soon, and any other poor bugga that has it.

I had read elsewhere that this chest infection would last 5 weeks. I'm afraid I rather poo-pooed that idea when I read it, but b*gger me if it was not absolutely correct.
I am still snorting, sneezing and occasionally right royally raspingly coughing and although I am enjoying vaping, I know I have a ways to go before this lot clears up completely.
I am seriously glad that I am retired, because there would be no way I could have got through a working day with this lot. Even pottering in the garden I find that I have to take a break every 15 or 20 minutes. Fortunately the "vaping shed" is well stocked with "sit down and have a relaxing toke or 6" supplies.

Try raw garlic (bung it in a salad), raw onion - will help and completely get you about da vapes 3 years ago no nic bunged me in looney bin x 2 - 2 years ago no nic caused anxiety attacks on a flight!!! lobeydosser I hate to be devil's advocate but get head well then slowly reduce nic (very slowly) and this won't be an issue in future (I'm now down to about 0.5mg/ml on a kayfun single coil) Happy days!!!

Thanks @johanino, but I tried reducing the Nic a while ago and even a drop of just 2mg sent me heading towards wanting to smoke again, so no more experiments on that line, for me.
I vape at 24mg and that suits me just fine. I do have some 30mg (Chocolate Limes) for those odd occasions when something (or someone) upsets me and I need a wee extra boost.

Hi @johanino, I have 2 Spheroids. I don't use them these days but because they are rebuildables, I am hanging onto them in case they are needed in the future.
Personally I didn't find them any stronger than what I was using back when I first got them, although others had said that they were much stronger.
These days I am a died in the wool Aspire Nautilus and a 20w Eleaf user.
Actually I feel like a complete beginner around here with all my neighbours vaping away on sub ohm set ups and our local shopkeeper vaping 45mg e-juice. But as long as I can continue to buy the set up I like, I'll be happy and content.

Exacty the same here but with added annoying wheezing/whistling in the throat , usually starting at 4 in the morning that only a cup of tea & a good hack will resolve ,a cold 3 to 5 days maybe a week tops to clear your system but this bloody thing 2 months & only now do I feel I'm getting over it .

Being here in Scotland and an OAP, I get the free Flu Jab each year and I think that has helped with this Chest Infection in that it has not got any worse than it has.
<<< Does your local shopkeeper bounce? lobeydosser >>>
Hi @johanino, He is Canadian and I think that has a lot to do with the strength of e-juice he needs to combat the amount of ciggies he has given up. Then again, he sells e-juice in his shop so I doubt if it is costing him much, if anything.
