Hey everyone! Just a few quick question about DIYing e-juice. (Never tried this, so it's all new..) 1) What calculator is best for beginners? I plan for my first few to be plain simple fruits. Start of slowly I think would be wise? 2) I've got a few concentrates already but found : vapable.com/ - Seems cheap and free P&P over £10. Anyone used them before? 3) Lastly, are there any must have concentrates that are needed? Or is it more just feel about til you find an ADV? Thank you for any advise! ^.^ (Sorry if these questions have been asked before.) -catx

1. The mix calculator at the top of the page is easy one to use. 2.' I've used them plenty of times and reliable here's another one I use.http://thee-cigshop.co.uk 3. You've answered that one yourself. All the best and good luck mixing. thee-cigshop.co.uk

catx - welcome to the Mixology world! If I had known what I know now when I started, I would have saved all my recipes on e-liquid-recipes.com It has rapidly become the most popular and often-used calculator, not only in this country but globally. You can save all your recipes there, privately if preferred, for future reference, and there are literally thousands of shared recipes too if you need inspiration. Once you start to get to grips with the process, you can save existing recipes in your own page and then adapt them according to your personal tastes. You can enter your concentrates into the 'My Stash' area, and find out what other recipes can be mixed with the concentrates you have. Vapable - yes, quick, reliable and a good choice, but as Q mentions above, there is a much better selection at Chef's Vapours whose prices are comparable. Lastly, you may want to start with a few 'one-shot' flavours, which are simple in as much as you use just what's in the bottle, usually mixed at around 15%, and just add your preference for PG and VG base and nicotine. If you keep reading the Mixology section in this forum, you will start to notice which concs everyone uses more than others, and you can buy accordingly. I would say however, that you will be well advised to choose a couple of recipes that you like the sound of and then mix up small quantities of them first before commiting to a larger quantity. In that way you will start collecting concentrates, but rest assured that you will never have all the flavours you need when a new recipe comes to your attention! Hope this helps, and please don't hesitate to ask questions, that's the way we all learned, and we are only too happy to pass the knowledge on!

I never even saw the cal at the top.. Silly me! Thanks, I've had a look and I'll be using that one. Thanks for all the help, i'll get my mix on once my bottles come through the post. I'm very picky on what I vape and I figured I could tailor the juice to my liking/strength of flavour, plus save a few quid is always good.

I plan to only make 5ml up and go from there. I'm sure i'll make mistakes along the way and come back to the forum for help. I don't post very much but I do check in every now and then and everyone is always super helpful! Thank you

Problem ive found is that if you do tiny amounts..say 5ml..thats a tank and a bit for most tanks..your vape that in no time and will miss out on what steeping can do for the juice/flavour.
I do 25ml tester bottles first which leaves 5ml gap to add stuff if required.

I must admit i do the same because as you say.... you mix up say 10ml have a little taste after a couple of days nope its not good, so give it a couple more days have another little taste then dam its gone.
