Problem with Evic Mini

Just wondering if anyone may know what has happened

I have two evic mini's on the go but last night i realised that on one of them the power output was decreasing on the screen; i had set it to 10.5w and within half hour or so, the screen was showing 9.5. I decided to re set it to 10.5 and watch it. Again bit by bit, it dropped a . of a watt until it was at 9.5.

This morning I decided to have a look at what battery I had in there (i have several brands and ages in rotation) and saw it was one of my efests purchased last year so changed it out with a note to dispose of it thinking it may be near the end of its life for a samsung 25r...the same thing is happening, a slow decrease in wattage.

Have i done something wrong, is this happening to anyone else?

Yes we updated it to the one where you can change the text, actually im going to use my other one for a while and see what happends

What ohm coil are you using?

does it do it when the wattage is locked.

Yes the wattage is locked which is what makes it strange. The coil I'm using is a 1.5 ohm

Revert to the previous firmware and see how that goes

Most strange Mrsmac, especially as its just the 1 watt.
As it basically a vaping computer a shot in the dark would be doing the update again.
Never works on a pc either but worth a try.

I must admit, I haven't continued passed the one watt but i think i will ask MrMac to reflash the firmware and see how that goes

Sounds like it is struggling to get the power from the battery, first thing to try is to clean the battery & 510 contacts and the contacts on the battery with IPA or Meths. Also is the resistance changing, it may be worth checking the coil contacts are tight.

Mrsmac - Just a thought but if you have it in stealth mode (blank screen when vaping) then press the down button to bring the screen on it will drop the power 0.1 Watts. Short press on the fire button brings the screen on with no wattage change.
Are you sure its not in stealth rather than key locked ?

Hi guys no definitely not in stealth mode as the hubby put a nice little logo on it which I like looking at and the rest of the details are visible. Will definitely try cleaning the contacts and see how that goes as well.

maybe a stupid question but the custom logo doesn't mess it up does it ?


ive had my evil mini for a few months and it hasn't lost wattage like that although I tend to use it between 30 and 40w with dual Clapton coils/

Well this is what I am seriously wondering but after cleaning I'm going to keep a sharper eye and get Mr Mac to re load the software I'd rather be logo less than vape less lol
