Hi Jane, Acetone or nail polish remover will clean up the CA glue with ease.
Good luck I

izan exactly how? It's all in the corners and down the sides of where the wee magnet goes . Currently it's got a make up pad of soapy water wrapped in food wrap and is going to be like that for a few hours - sweating!!!! Also tried rubbing alcohol. Not much joy. Might need craft knife?

Ear buds and some make-up pads are the key. The glue will dissolve in the acetone and despite being "sticky" should release from the metal. It may remove paint as well, so dab with the ear bud and keep an eye on the finish.
Good luck I

if its a dodgy glue job then cut the excess off with a knife would probably be simpler but probably not very neat, you could sort it out by using an ultrasonic cleaner but you might damage the paint finish if there's any scratch's on it, however if you use a silicone case that shouldn't matter too much and if your using something like the sea clean fluid it should shift the glue (it wont work with just water) and that would then leave you with the cover slide and probably a pair of magnets to reattach, however a bit of time and some care to get the job done right (small blob in the middle of the magnet hole) should leave you with a nice serviceable mod after

and how much is an ultrasonic cleaner going to cost me LOL nanotm? Only one magnet non attached. I reattached it first in april. I'll wait till this next lot of superglue eases itself off and for now secure battery back with hair elastic till my silicone sleeves come from fast tech LOL It's a little off but a lot better with a hair elastic than it was I have a savings target - it will not fall short all cos of shinies!!!

@johanino ahh well now the cost of a half decent one isn't cheap that's true, and the fluid costs around £9/bottle, but you can get sleeves from ebay for under £3 delivered in a couple of days link

for Acetone (nail varnish remover), just be careful of the paint or plastic, you can mask areas with tape and put some acetone on a but of cotton to let it soak in, you should be able to get a small bottle for less than £1.50 at the chemist. Also chipping/cutting off the excess before applying the acetone is a good idea.

Silicon sleeve, yes. that's the ticket. I lost two magnets from my iStick100 a couple of days after buying it. Ended up chucking the battery cover away and just using a sleeve. No problems so far.

Thanks guys Greg battery cover is fine. tis just the magnet on the inside (one of them) to silicone sleeves - will deffo give them a go Just found my spider magnets (from my magneto days - it needed them) so for a temporary solution I have the battery cover secured on with one of them - has reduced the 'gap' by the button (back of) down to 1mm so am happy Nice secure battery door (unlike the IVP D2) and i'm back in business Fast tech
