There were a series of important meetings in Parliament yesterday in which senior Labour and Conservative politicians were discussing how to remove the vaping regulations from the TPD. Both sides have been highly impressed with your campaign - especially your fabulous personalised letters to peers. The critical Lords vote is expected in the week commencing 6 June. We will be asking you to write to peers again in the run up to that.

Our efforts appear to be working... be part of this to increase the chance of us winning!

Whilst 92% of the Lords have received at least one letter , 66 still haven't even received one letter.
Please don't let them feel left out! ..... Don't just hope that someone else will do this for you.

Thanks gill2009 , that was appreciated , VIP are also doing a great job with their website and spreadsheet (as well as some of the graphics that I keep pinching from them via Twitter!)... and I'm sure many others..... INCLUDING each and everyone who is writing!

It is so easy to become complacent with these sorts of things (I know I sometimes have in the past) ... easier leaving it to others to take action and write ... but this will very more than likely be the last chance we get to stop Article 20 of the TPD and in my opinion it actually stands a reasonable chance to make a difference.... IF enough of us show our support and sign and WRITE.

Article 20 is just soooo wrong and will do harm, rather than good, here's our chance to do something .... don't let the opportunity pass folks.

This isn't rocket science - you vape, vaping is under threat; tell your story and ask the Lord/Lady to support Lord Callanan's fatal motion on June 6th (that's right isn't it?).

If you're anything like me your can talk about vaping and its benefits all day! this shouldn't be hard. Do it on your lunch hour - get OH to make the tea -

whatever - just do it - your country needs you!!!

Do you value vaping? Do you value it's good value for money, the choice of e-liquids, how one tank can last you all day?

All these are under threat by the TPD hence it's vital you spend 20-30 minutes writing an email with your story to a Lord/Lady

Only 20 left!

I've been looking and I haven't found one example of a letter writing campaign EVER that has successfully reached all the members of the House of Lords. As I type there are only 15 left to reach - the spreadsheet takes quite a bit of scrolling until you find a gap!

If I'm right, this is HISTORICAL - a mish-mash of social media and one of the oldest institutions in the democratic world. At the IEA talk on thursday (wednesday?), Richard Hyslop - who some of you might recognise from his work as a lobbyist for Totally Wicked said some of these people have never been emailed before ...

Of course I won't be happy until they've all been contacted a few times but, LET'S SMASH THIS.

If you haven't done it, or haven't for at least 2 days, stop your browsing right now, open up your word processor and get a letter written. We can change things, there are so many hints flying about (see other threads) that we are making a difference.
