The word is the vote will be next week, no day mentioned.  The spam filter is 2 days, I was leaving 3 but mow just 2 and a bit between batches of 6.  Lovely reply you got Pep.

I did a few more today.

And it's soooo easy to do, just write your letter a bit of cut & paste to send the email to a Lord/Lady, etc and then just confirm the verification email and it's done, easy peasy.

It's now or never folks... many of the letters get delivered in a roundabout way... and as far as we know the Lords vote will be sometime next week.

Well I haven't had a response from any Lords emails but I got a positive response from my local MP ..... 


Thank you for your email sent on 28th May regarding the regulation of electronic cigarettes.



I am extremely grateful to you for taking the time to share your personal experiences. I believe that decisions on tobacco products need to be taken on the basis of the best available evidence. As you highlight there is a large body of evidence which highlights the positive role which electronic cigarettes play in helping individuals stop smoking.



As you highlight new regulations are being introduced which will limit cartridge sizes to 2ml and nicotine levels to 20mg/ml. While I understand that many manufactures have been reducing their cartridge sizes already and that 20mg/ml products are among the most popular in the UK I agree that there are questions that need to be answered. I will therefore write to the Secretary of State for Health putting your points to him and request that he provide a detailed reply. I will write to you again once I have received a response.



In the meantime if you feel I can be of any further assistance on this or any other matter please do not hesitate to get in touch.

At least 44% of Lords have been sent 2 or more letters from a vaper. 1,261+ letters have been sent  .... but we need more stories and letters! Don't let this unique opportunity to pass you by!

Make no mistake about it, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) are lobbying very hard to rally opposition against Lord Callanan's fatal motion, which, if it were passed, would kill the Statutory Instrument (SI) which transposes the TPD into UK law.

1,303 letters have been written so far according to the VIP spreadsheet, but that's only around 200 stories (most that have written have sent their letter to 6+ Lords/Ladies)

I had my first reply today (tbh I wasn't expecting one!), albeit an email from one of the Lord's Executive Assistants, acknowledging receipt and that my letter would be passed on next time he was at the office.

Christ no wonder we struggle with our battle.

There's a programme on BBC1 at the moment showing some muppet who sells/sold legal highs to a load of dropouts.

Yup.... that's all the more reason that we need LOTS of positive stories to LOTS of Lords/Ladies from LOTS of vapers X&Y!
But many vapers appear to be putting it off, or hoping that others will do it on their behalf... why I'm not sure, as this opportunity won't come around again.

Why all vendors also aren't pushing it, also has me confuddled. Maybe they think the TPD will wipe out their competition and are putting profits before customers.... I don't know.

Probably because many will just run away next year with their profits

Shame as there are some good guys out there.

But i'm also confused why more vendors are not promoting the possibility of overturning the TPD.
