This has almost definitely been covered before but thought I'd share as it's the first time I've done it. A couple of my battery wraps had started to wear around the negative end so thought I'd have a go at re-wrapping them. Was expecting it to be a pain but got 10 pre cut wraps from eBay for £3 and it was really easy using the missus' hair dryer. Before After Also didn't realise how important this is so if you have any damage on your wraps then definitely give this a go!

I bought 50 wraps for when i needed to do them and I can honestly say I haven't had to use them at all. Always been careful with regards to replacing batteries so can't comment on how easy they are to do.

Only vaguely tricky bit is keeping the positive insulator in place while blowing the hair dryer on it. I used a lollipop stick to hold it down until the wrap started to curl over to hold it in place.

I must confess I used clear heat shrink and just applied it over the top of the damaged original wrapper... stupid really but if you have any of the pre-cut stuff left, then get a 99p role of the stuff from china (5mtr) and when it arrives cut it to length and you gain hundreds of ready to go wraps for the future I bought a few rolls and sicne doing that I haven't needed any for batteries ....

Thanks for this as I have some wraps on order at Fasttech and I got a new hot air gun as I don't have a hair dryer (No Hair)

Was it you who gave me the china ebay link the other day? 5metres of wrap for 99p - saving a lot of hassle and stress with electric tape from the pound shop
