Can't make up my mind what to spend my pennies on - its been quite a while since I bought a new brand of mod - I converted to isticks when they first arrived and haven't bought anything other than isticks since then. I currently have 6 x 30w 2x 20w (isticks) plus 2 x mvp2 as back ups. Regular tanks are all Kanger subtanks mini & nano with 0.5 coils. Iff'ing and amming about getting something new - I don't actually need a new mod nor am I planning on venturing into temperature control and I'm pretty settled with kanthol coils either diy or premade/stock and I have never vaped above 20w as I don't really like a warm vape, I switch between mtl and dtl pretty much seamlessly without even thinking about it depending on what juice I'm vaping. I've been fancying a change for a while but have no real motive or need to do so as I'm pretty happy with my set up. One thing I do know tho is I'm not interested in mechs and I vastly prefer a built in battery preferably with passthrough function (but thats not a deal breaker). I looked at and dismissed a Coolfire iv - battery life not good enough. Also dismissed the Tesla Stealth much as I liked it for the same reason. I think I've got it down to a choice between the Tesla Nano and the 50w iStick which are roughly the same price (less than a fiver between them) on FT. Now I can't make up my mind I do not need the extra fancy stuff the Nano has over the istick but on the other hand if I ever did fancy changing coils or tanks then having the Tesla would be handy. Both are bulkier than my current mods, The Tesla being smaller than the istick however the Tesla weighs 219g vs the 50w Istick 150g which makes both much heavier than my 30w's @ 94g so that means that I'd probably only use them around the house. The istick kinda looks the same as what I already have whereas the Tesla looks quite different which is in its favour. Is there such a thing as a nice looking mod with the bells and whistles of the Nano, same battery capacity, but smaller and lighter but still able to take a subtank nano at the least? If you were me would you even bother getting a new mod at all after all they are all just batteries at the end of the day aren't they? So maybe I should save my pennies or bung 2 more 30w's in the basket instead. Arrrrggggg

I think its down to personal choice really they both do the same thing for what you need, Ok the tesla does have the extra bells and whistles as you say so they "may" be of use in the future. I prefer the tesla myself having had both but thats me with big hands the i stick 50 seemed a bit small for me. Not a lot of help was i

I have had and loved the iStick 50, I had two of them but as I take the tanks of every night the 510 started to wear on both mind you they are over a year old, my daughter has them now. I replaced them with 2 Coolfire iv plus. I am very pleased with the Coolfires, ok the battery does not last as long as the iSticks but they do not take long to charge

Aside from the fact the battery is replaceable the pico doesn't add much to the party over the smaller isticks if higher watts and temp control aren't of interest. The newer Coolfire IV (100w temp control one) has a 3300 battery which is comparable to an istick 50w. It's also a lot better looking (I have slight bias here as I'm not a big fan of the 50w istick)

dreamylittledream Yeah aside from being much more compact, more solidly built, a better 510, temp control in Ni,Ti,SS and manual TCR settings, Bypass mode, upgradeable firmware, replaceable battery, ability to go down to 0.1ohm resistance in VW mode and 0.05ohm in TC mode plus 75W i agree the Pico has little more to offer than the iStick 50W.

Didnt read the post did you? If if someone has no interest in TC and related bells and whistles it's not really adding much to an istick 30w aside from the replaceable battery The lady has no interest in TC or watts above 20 so pretty much everything you've pointed out above is moot. She does want long battery life for which a single 18650 is only going to get you so far....

I love dinky setups but the smaller you go the less batt life you get, its a bugger but that's how it works I know you passed on mechs but they will give you best batt life for size and I love my gismo 17 as its tiny ,good batt life and feels sooo nice in the hand nemi in 350 mode with a mini goblin is tiny and cheap as you said you don't really need a new mod but you fancy something new maybe a cheeky mech might be fun but I don't know why you don't want one I don't have the telsa but I do like the fire button position, using your thumb to fire the mod is so much more comfy the egrip 2 might be worth a look www.fasttech.com/products/0/10014483/4760103-authentic-joyetech-egrip-ii-80w-2100mah-tc-vw-apvits even got a clock lol I know none of them have loads of batt life but if its a taking out mod you don't want hugeness for batt life get an rx200s with with Samsung 30q batts , I can get 3 to 4 days at 20 watts max power and works better than half a brick in your hand bag just think about what you want to use it for and I don't meen vapeing lol more like nipping down the shops or going out for the night or sneaky vape at work when you order whatever mod you do may I suggest a kafun mini v3 slips into the basket as well just chucking more stuffs at you to look at to confuddle you more lol edit I forgot www.fasttech.com/products/0/10022156/4785101-authentic-smoant-knight-v1-60w-tc-vw-apv-mod-kit with a 30q would be not to bad

The reason I don't fancy a mech is because I prefer a regulated mod, something I don't have to worry about too much plus I try to keep my vaping as faff free and cost effective as possible. I've steered away from mods using rechargeable 18650's and the like up to now as that would have meant buying another charger and several batteries on top of the cost of the mod that and the fact that my kitchen work tops already get buried under stuff recharging most days, phones, kindles, hubbys shaver, batteries for clocks, torches etc. etc. However I might consider an 18650 mod that can be charged in situ - currently I charge via the usb port on my PC whilst I'm sitting here on the net theres usually a mod charging beside me and when full the next one gets topped up. Will have to give it a bit more thought now theres other devices to look at

Most single 18650 regulated mods have a usb charge port, out of the dozens i have i can only think of one that doesn't and that's the Koopor Mini. An external charger is nice to have so you can charge 2,3 or 4 batteries at a time and have spares ready charged to throw in when needed but it's not a necessity.
I would say one is really a necessity with a mod that takes more than 1 battery though just because you want to be sure both batteries are charged evenly but that's not an issue with single battery mods.
