Nitecore D4

Any body have one of these as i just got one yes its all fancy with all the bells and whistles
But DAM it seems very slow ok i'm using it to charge 3 new lg hg 3000 mAh batts but seems so slow. 
My old xtar 2bay one was a lot quicker just wondered if this is normal.

It halves the charge rate if you charge three or four batteries. If you use bay 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 it'll give you the full rate. Bit daft if you've got three batteries to charge but that may explain why.

All Nitecores are slow, as dalealan said they double the charge rate if you only use 1 battery on each channel and you will have to get the manual out to find which slots share a channel.

spot on VapingBad the above channels are the correct ones for the d4 now. I got confuddled with my xtar vc4 which is channel 1 and 4 for 1 amp but anything in bays two and 3 will half the rate to .5.

IIRC the channels are different bays from the i4 and I can't remember either, but IIRC the D4 are still only about 700 mA just using 1 cell in each channel so the VC4 would still save you an hour and a half with 3,000 mAh batteries or 3 hours with 3 or 4 of them.

Ah ok make sense now well hopefully i will only need to charge 2 a day then and use bay 1 and 3
or go back to my xtar sp2 2bay jobbie and just do 2 at a time i suppose i could use both chargers with 2 in each but sort of
defeats the idea of buying this one

Ah, I knew there was a reason I was using two I2s instead of one of these.

The SP2 will be much faster, I can charge 25Rs in 1:30 so probably 1:45 for LG HG2s @ 2 A.  The D4 would be around 4:15 using 2 bays or 8:20 using 3 or 4 bays.

Ah, I knew there was a reason I was using two I2s instead of one of these.

Wish i had done that now not really a happy bunny now but hey ho no good crying over spilt milk

Bloody hell thats a big difference think this may be going back in the box and the old one coming back out

Asides from this (big) limitation I think that they're quite nice chargers!

Well yeah it looks nice and has all the bits but i went for a four bay one so i didn't have to keep putting them in and out of the 2 bay one,
but it seems that is what i may well go back to doing.

Absolutely was thinking this too. Although the slower charging is much kinder to your batteries if you're not in a hurry.
