We haven't done one of these in a while, but the events of the last few weeks warrant one. Vaping has reached the highest point it has been on the UK political agenda for quite some time (possibly ever). We haven't got everything we would have liked, but there is movement in political circles in the right direction, we need to keep it moving that way. So here are three things you can do to help that: 1. Tweet Chris Grayling @commonsleader about what he said in the House of Commons, details can be found here: www.change.org/p/david-cameron-mp-support-parliamentary-moves-to-block-crazy-e-cigarette-regulations/u/16893320?tk=aDNT9HRTSS_cFHSwejjztfPstJZIUyCX-skyVvwm9J8&utm_source=petition_update&utm_medium=emailChris Grayling made a speech in the house of commons saying that "have been carefully considered by the appropriate Committees of the House." We know that isn't true, tweet him or email him commonsleader@cabinetoffice.gov.uk and ask him to withdraw his statement. 2. Write a letter to your local paper to be featured in the letters column. Here is an example. docs.google.com/document/d/1q5oiB-9TREDCcNZeG-2QhdORrAHK-oPupPqaXpyE99k/editThere are millions of vapers that don't use social media plus friends and family who support them. Let's try and get a few more in the know. Send a letter to your local paper to feature on the Letters Page. We need more people 'in the know' 3. Please continue to contact politicians, both your MP and the House of Lords. The contact details can be found here. vapersinpower.wordpress.com/labour-pains-last-push-for-lordsvapevote/If you haven't contacted your MP in the last 7 days please do so now. I know they often don't reply (at least mine doesn't) but the pressure we have been putting on in the last few weeks is paying dividends. They are likely to be asked about this at some point this week, be it in the bar, the corridor or the House. Let's make sure our feelings are fresh in their minds. Here is a reminder of what "careful consideration" apparently looks like:
