Am I right in thinking that this 8th August thing is only for US resellers and part of the FDA rulings, so shouldn't really apply to us, unless it also affects Evolv being able to sell the boards outside the US after that date.

Yes, as I understand it it a product is not available for sale in the USA by then it needs FDA approval before it can be sold, I think this also applies to exports and then would affect us.

Yes, as I understand it it a product is not available for sale in the USA by then it needs FDA approval before it can be sold, I think this also applies to exports and then would affect us.

If they were selling a Mod then I would agree, but the boards could be classed as electronic equipment, but could also depend on whether Evolv needs FDA approval as well, could be worth asking them to confirm either way for International orders.

They are releasing their boards under the FDA regs, doing that will make it easier for mod makers to sell mods using them in the USA.

Think it will cost them a lot of money if they cannot sell the boards to other Countries after 08/08, that's why I am thinking it only applies to sales within the USA, but I could be wrong.

I think it more about time to market than money Bob , after 8/8 I believe it would need pre approval, before they can keep producing while the approval process is happening and as I said I'm 70% sure it applies to exports as well.

If it is inside a MOD wether it is a microchip or a battery as far as the FDA rules go it is a tobacco product.

Evolv is once again proud to announce our new DNA 250 board. The boards are available now in extremely limited quantities. Because of component lead times customers will be limited to 1 board per device that they plan to release plus one board as a spare. We expect this to improve as component lead times improve.

The DNA 250 is the same size as the DNA 200, uses 3 cell series voltage input, utilizing the same mounting and layout for the buttons, screen, and USB with the addition of a few exciting features.

-250 Watts max

-55 Amp current output limit

-2 Amp charging via Micro USB

-Onboard reverse voltage protection

-Higher current fuse

-Smoother control system for Stainless Steel wire with Temperature Protection
(This is a firmware update and is also available for the 200, giving it a similar control structure to the DNA 75)

Spec sheets and models will be available some time next week.
