You will be fine with that tank, just because it comes with sub ohm coils - doesnt mean you have to use them. you can just buy coils that are over 1ohm You have lots of choice as the melo3 fits aspire atlantis and triton coils (and they come in all sorts of powers) plus the ccell and super tank mini and ijust. Also, Herakles (non plus) and Starre Pro coils work in addition, just ask for links if you want to buy some Thanks Pepperty can you or others send me some links to the coils above 1ohm please. I don't mind looking myself but want to be sure I'm getting right ones 😃

I know the Ego One Mega tank is quite old school but Joytech have them on special for £7.50! they are 4ml tanks and use the CLR coils which you can just take the cotton out, dry burn and put new cotton in. I have been away for a week and wanted something that was pretty bomb proof and I really enjoyed the MTL vape and the flavour was good too. In fact I have just ordered another two! Whereabouts are you based, I'm sure someone local would help you out with the coil building, I certainly would if you are anywhere near Worcestershire.

+1 for the Ego One range of tanks, I have some and use the 1ohm CLR coils in them, MTL, so easy to just whip the cotton out, wash, dry burn and wick again, seriously they are even easier than Protanks to wick as the coils are that much bigger - LOL! arieskaz I don't build my own, I have only coiled one tank and that is my Kayfun and that was using a Fasttech pre-made 1.2ohm coil still going strong after a couple of mths of dry burning and re-wicking and it was surprisingly easy to do with my desk mounted magnifying glass of course! But I do re-wick all my coils myself for all my tanks, never ever thought I'd be doing it but I did and do them fine now. I still use stock coils as well but for my custards and really sweetened liquids I use my re-wickables so to speak as otherwise I would go through coils like no ones business. I don't have a link for UK sellers for the ECR coils for the Melo 3 mini but these from Fasttech are the re-wickable 1ohm coils www.fasttech.com/product/4294602 you need to be pretty generous with the cotton and tightly pack it but it's a doddle to re-wick them as the coil is pretty sturdy, they come pre-wicked and last an age depending on liquid used. So you really don't need to be building coils at all just yet and even if you did you could buy the pre-mades to take the hassle out of making a coil Seriously it is easy to re-wick a coil, no building involved at all, prise out old cotton gently, dry burn the coil, wash it if needed, dry it and then just thread some more cotton through it and away you go.

I smoked rollies for 50 years and after vaping for just 3 months I still need something similar in terms of draw and size of mouth piece, so I only do mouth to lung. My favourite tank is the Nautilus, with the 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coil. Not tried one but I understand the Mini Nautilus is a similar experience. I too got the Melo III tank with my Pico and couldn't get on with the low ohm coils - much more suitable for direct lung inhale which makes me cough most of the time. I did try an Aspire Triton 1.8 ohm coil in the Melo tank and with the right air adjustment it does give a reasonable mouth to lung vape, but nowhere near as good as my Nautilus.

In that case you should be called old tissue paper lungs !!

Yeah, I've got COPD (Emphysema) from all those millions of fags over the years. Perhaps I shouldn't even be vaping

Thankyou arieskazI tried vaping back in 2013 but packed up after 3 months cos I got a lung infection (always get one in Jan/Feb) and couldn't vape any more, but could still suffer the rollies. Earlier this year, after the latest lung infection and chest X-Ray and COPD diagnosis I decided enough was enough. This time round I am being more sensible and taking the vaping alternative more sensibly - I aim to only use juices from trusted vendors, and I am very fastidious about cleaning out tanks with Milton at coil change time.
