I purchased this from efun.top
www.efun.top/wismec-vicino-battery-tube-w-o-battery.html
Ok so the Vicino is a tube mod which accepts an 18650 cell, it's an unregulated output it will just supply whatever Voltage your battery has to the atty.
It's a really simple device just unscrew the bottom cap drop in an 18650 battery, click the fire button 5 times to switch it on and away you go.
It has a fire button on the front and a USB charge port on the back.
There are some issues i have with this device, firstly build quality is generally decent, the threads on the battery cap however are a little bit crunchy they could be better.
The 510 centre pin is spring loaded but it's a really short throw so any atty with a really proud centre pin doesn't fit flush, 99 out of 100 wil be fine but something with a really long pin like the Doge V2 for example there is going to be a gap.
The thing that i have found really annoying though is the total lack of paperwork or useful information Wismec provide, this device came with nothing no user manual, no spec sheet nothing and there's really not much information on their own website either.
Consequently i have had to hunt about to find out information i think users need to know.
Like for instance Wismec don't tell you the minimum resistance the mod can go down to which is 0.2ohm
Wismec don't tell you that the mod will automatically shut down when your battery reaches 3.3V.
They do tell you it has reverse polarity protection and they do tell you it has overcharge protection.
They don't though say whether it has short circuit protection and i haven't been able to find out whether it does or not.
The mod is 91mm by 22mm.
Another thing i'm not fond of is the system employed to indicate battery level.
They have opted to choose a system based on flashes the quicker the bezel light on the fire switch flashes the lower the battery is.
I really don't like this system i much prefer a traffic light system where the bezel light changes colour as the battery depletes.
This way you can see at a glance the state of your battery rather than waiting for a series of flashes.
Overall i actually like the device, it's inexpensive and a safer tube option than a full mech mod, the light flash system is a personal preference really, the threading on the cap while stiff i haven't had any problems like cross threading and the short throw on the 510 is only going to affect attys with exceptionally long pins.
It really did irk me though how Wismec don't provide proper specs for the thing especially since it's such a simple device even the box it comes in calls it a battery, it's not a battery there's no battery in it.
