I've just started using temp control mods and need some info. I have a 0.27 notch coil in a theorem, which s working very well. I've just been given some 24ga NI200 and want to try it on a Serpent. What kind of ohms should I be aiming for? I tried 10 wraps on a 3mm bit which came out at 0.05, I haven't yet tried it as that seems very low. Any help would be appreciated. also anyone get a metallic taste with NI200? What wire is your go too? I've got some SS and Titanium coming on a slow boat but that's weeks away. Lastly can I use TC on a Kayfun 5?

I use ni200 0.28 (29awg) in all my builds, around 10 wraps on a 3mm bit gives me around a 0.15 ohm build, I have this in a kayfun 5 and it works perfectly, not had the metallic taste that you say you're getting, hope this helps Cheers Glen

Cheers glen . How have you got the Temp and power set at. Although I've been building for years this Temp stuff is doing my nut in, I'm not sure what power or Temp to use. How do you go about things?

I'm a creature of habit, all my temperature control mods are set at 430f and 20watts, but if I was you I would just take the temp up in small increments, along with the watts until you get a vape that you like, all trial and error I'm afraid

Thanks mate, that's what I've been doing. I was just a bit worried that 0.05 was too low. When this Temp stuff came out. I was a sceptic, but I'm now converted. I just gave all my old Vape gear away "which was lots" and have 4 new temp mods 2 here and 2 on the way......here we go again, just when I thought I wouldn't use FT anymore

That being low depends on which mod, 0.05 is too low for a DNA 40, but OK for 75 or 200, my lowest build is 0.03 ohm. With Ni in the Aromanizer I like 3 strands of 32 AWG 0.2 mm twisted 0.05 ohm, it is stiff enough to keep it's shape and performs really well wit DNA 75 or 200 (9 wraps , 2 mm ID dual coils). Ti is really good, the resistance and TCR are both reasonable high so you can use it on more mods, twisted 28 AWG is 7 wraps 2.5 mm ID 0.16 ohm is very good, 4 strand twisted 0.2 is even better. For mods that don't have a Ti profile reduce the temp 90 F on a nickel profile.

I've since upgraded the firmware to the 200w, it worked for a while then failed. I think I'll go down the twisted route and see what I can get. I'm waiting for some Stainless still, I've heard good reports on it. Thanks for the help.
