My Evic Mini had a leaky tank on it Stripped it down and left it to dry off over a week Since then, it had been draining a battery every 24hrs Even when switched off
Stripped it down to see if anything was shorting out tonight I remembered the spring that sits above the live battery terminal sprung out when I stripped it And the game of hunt the spring after
What I never noticed was a plastic hat that sat on top of the spring come out with the spring Only noticed the spring was sitting on the chassis tonight when I stripped it down again First off I started with an electricians tape bodge over the top of the spring Then looked on the net for strip down pictures and found a picture showing the hat I never knew it should have Luckily it had been found and put in a pot of "what ever it is, it might be needed" bits
How the battery never cooked I will never know
A lot of luck and stupidity on my part
Please take care if you ever have to strip a mod down

I don't always do this, but if you take things apart in a large clear plastic bag that you can get your hands into the bits can't fly away.
