Thought I was buying a moto 4g 4th gen
Ended up (when I got home) the moto 4g 3rd gen
Is it the end of the world?
Paid more for the 3rd gen than I should have for the 4th gen by £10 and it was £40 cheaper later on in day at john lewis but with mod destroying abilities I just think it might be tougher
Someone help!!!!

Sorry to hear this Jane @johanino The 4th gen moto g which I have is miles better than the 3rd gen model which I used to have. I don't suppose you could explain your common mistake (mixing 4th gen with 4g WiFi) and offer to pay the difference for the 4th gen model?

joeten - I thought I had bought the 4th gen. Didn't realise till I unpacked it later on this evening ...poorly rattie came first thought the price difference was the difference between web prices and store prices - that was how the mistake happened. joetenHonestly thought I had bought the phablet that is the 4th gen

@tmfkatubthumper Basil the Biter got a procedure to calm him down . He has baytril for 7 days and metacam once a day. He is good and I got to the vets to pick him up and he was stuffing his face . Little moody but ok.... Hence I'm up at crazy hour on 4 hours sleep Still having problems making a decision over phones . I think I can take it back if I need to but I'm not feeling very assertive \

I paid £160 direct from Motorola on the day it was released. I would take the 3rd gen back to where you bought it from and get a refund (assuming you haven't destroyed it overnight lol).

@johanino
My extended family are the Moto crowd.
The 4G 3rd generation is the one I am recommending as it happens (on a budget). Depends how much you paid, but they are down to £99. I bought 2 when they were £109, 2 days after they came down from £129.
I also bought an "E" for £59.... before they went back up to £79.
You win some, you lose some. If you lose bad, it's worth trying to make up some excuse why it's not good for you and you need a refund.

I have had every generation of the moto g and they just get better and better although the latest 4th generation is no longer considered to be in the real budget phone category. Having said that the 3rd generation model is still a very good phone ... When I bought the 4th gen phone, I gave my old 3rd gen to my daughter and she loves it ... Prior to that she was a Samsung fan girl but now swears by Motorola.

Took it back. Wanted the 4th gen at £129 but she gave me the Moto G Play at £109 - more ROM and she lied and said it had 2gb ram when it only has 1gb from this certain company. She also said it was deffo the moto g 4th gen in the box when it jolly well wasn't!!! She said it had a problem with packaging
one thing this phone isn't is a moto g 4th gen - argh!!! when i am more awake there's going to be a few emails
But yeah......am pleased to have more ROM that's for sure and a partial refund and it's white so reminds me of my beloved samsung s3- boy that was a good phone!!!
Just on charge. Hopefully the 1gb ram on marshmallow shouldn't be too much of a prob.
the asus zenfone 5 had 16gb rom and 2gb ram and that was 2 years ago and it was budget back then - lenovo get thy finger out!!!

The Play is a compromise between the 4G and the 3G which retains the 3G chip, screen size/resolution and camera iirc ... Still a decent phone anyhow and hopefully @johanino proof.
