I've have two itaste mvp 2, had them for over 2 years and they have never gone wrong, they just go on and on so I was interested in buying the step up to the MVP3 PRO, and after reading lots of reviews I now have my doubts as well as mostly 5 stars there were quite a few 1 stars which were reporting things going wrong within a week or so. Have any of you good people had any problems with them, would appreciate some advice. Cheers, JamesRD.

I did have one a yr or so ago very good solid mod but bit like trying to carry a house brick around in your pocket. Really can't fault it as i sold it on to a mate who is still using it now without any faults even though its been dropped and generally batterd about.

Everything is a bit of a gamble. The higher the risk, the more likely I am to buy it in the UK. If it's Joyetech, I'll only buy it from Joyetech UK for the 6 month warranty. I probably wouldn't buy one (an MVP) from China from what you say.

I think you got lucky with your MVP2, mine died a slow deaths after about 10 month. I wouldn't buy another one, especially with all the smaller but very powerful mods about.

I reckon that if you get a year from any fixed-battery mod that is in constant use, you are doing well

^Agree, a year is good enough, after that it doesn't owe me anything.

ditto, I mentally label all my mods with built in batteries as 'throwaway' and expect around a year of battery life from them. I now own 2 MVP pro's and my daughter has an MVP3 and I do love them as they are hardy, rugged and faff free. Mine went to vapefest with me and for long journeys and if I'm ever unsure of charging facilities they are my go to mod. Combined with alcohol I choose them too... as I don't need temperature control, I just need guaranteed watts and no hassle when I'm half cut. My daughter took hers to Vfest and dropped it in the mosh pit she's got some brutal bruises from being trampled on but her MVP survived a stampede and hog mudbath!

I have 1 mvp3 which has been used since it was released and no issues. I also have an mvp 20 which has been my work mod for 16 mths and no issues.
Luck of the draw, some will be fantastic others won't.

I have an MVP3 Pro (60w model) and it is my gardening/kayaking mod. It's not in great condition, but so far it has been faultless, charging quickly and easily via USB and faff-free vaping. As mentioned, they are not the most sleek and sexy mod, but if you want something solid and (in my case) long-lasting, you can't go far wrong. They shouldn't be too costly now either, having been superseded by more modern mods.

MVP2 is £22 from the Luxembourg Tax Dodgers. £33 for an MVP3 Pro

I have three MVP3 PROs! (a fourth one from GB was DOA). The Gold version is nice. The battery life is mainly what keeps me going back to them- must be a few years I've had these and have had no trouble. Lower wattage and not sub ohm is a good couple of days without charging for me.
If you don't cane them I reckon they're great mods with great battery capacity, not the prettiest but could take a fair bit of abuse in general.

my MVP3 lasted 7 months before it gave up, not something i would buy again, it wasn't that cheap either when you consider what you can get these days for the same price for a 60w mod without TC, makes a good door stopper tho...
