Hallooooo to all those who remember me and to those who don't.. your not missing much ) Almost 4 years and 4 months off the stinkies thanks in main to the good folks on here. I turned into a right boring old f@rt happily vaping away on bog standard equipment so had nothing much to say. Plus looking after my mum became a full time job taking up much of my time. I pop into the forum now and then to have a quick look to see who's about and can usually find the info I'm looking for but... I'm well confused now. I'm going on holiday to America for three weeks I've never been abroad before and have never flown so I'm not sure how best to travel with my ecigs. I know my 5 30ml bottles of juice has to go into a plastic bag along with any other liquids up to 1ltr but where and how is the safest way to transport the rest of my kit. I'm taking my MVP3 with Mini Nautilus and GS Air and two Ego AIO's along with charging cables and spare coils. I'm staying with my cousin out there so charging shouldn't be a problem. I bought a safe charging bag, would it be an idea to put my ecig kit into the charging bag to travel ? Any advice from seasoned travellers would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance gj.

gjdartBatteries and any mods with built in batteries in your hand luggage, also up to 100ml of eliquid which is put into a one of those clear plastic bags which clip together (available at Security) Larger amounts of juice in your hold luggage, chargers etc i would also put in with your hand luggage. That's about all i can remember from a couple of year's ago, i am sure more recent folk will add info

Just adding, that some e-liquid manufacturers are still using skull & cross bones on their labels .... make sure yours don't, one way or another!

Thanks for replying car147. I have a zip plastic bag for liquids so all good there. Should I bag up all the other stuff (batteries, chargers and coils) together and then put in my hand luggage ? And... do I put them in the tray at security or leave them in my bag ????
Postmodern Smoking great advice also. I hadn't even given that a thought !!! will get that sorted.

I've never traveled internationally so cannot give you all the rules (perhaps you might check the web site for your airline for any special rules they might have in regards to e-cigs) but a couple of thoughts come to mind: * Loose batteries must be carried safely with you in your hand luggage/carry-on. Ideally in their original container or with the ends taped over - so they cannot short, else inside your mod is also fine - with the mod turned off. * Filled Atties can leak in the airplane due to changes in air pressure. Some say holding them upside down for the duration of the flight helps... but atties differ and recent top fill atties may not respond to that older advice very well. Possibly best to fly with them empty and fill when you land. Or bag 'em .... see next point. * Zippy lock plastic bags (sandwich bags) are great for packing your juice bottles. If your juice bottles weep thro the flight the bags will contain the leak. Take a box of bags with you - they are very handy and you'll need some extra for the return flight. * It might pay to double check your charging needs. Power point/power outlets differ between countries - both physically and in volts output. Your charger, likely, will not work in the US - unless you are relying on your cousin in the US to have suitable mains to USB charging outlets for your gear. * And don't forget to have a great time.

And... do I put them in the tray at security or leave them in my bag ???? Flying domestically within Australia this is what I've done: * All mods with and without batteries in my cabin carry on. Mods with batteries (built in or removable both) turned off. * Some juice in my cabin bag - so I got juice to get me going.... * Loose batteries in their original protective snap shut plastic containers in my cabin bag/carry on. * Charger/leads wherever ya want - into the hold, or in your cabin bag. * ONE complete setup filled ready to vape in my pocket. (so I'm ready to go soon as I land) AT the airport security - I put the complete e-cig from my pocket into the security scanner tray - along with keys and other metal stuff - and send it thro. I leave the other gear in my cabin bag and send that thro .... Never had an issue flying within Oz - but, as I said, I've never traveled overseas, so I suggest you check your airlines web page for specific details.

Hi gjdart. I just came back from Greece(Kefalonia) and normally I travel just into European countries. So my experiences of travelling with e-cig are: - plastic zipped bag can contains max 100ml of liquid not 1liter.(they do not check it unless is obviously much more then the permitted amount) - batteries and mods( with or without battery) can be in the cabin baggage and you do not have to show to the security. - all other spares ( charger, coils) can be either in you cabin bag or your hold bag. - and one last thing if you have a kindle or tablet or laptop they have to be visible. Me and my partner were pulled out once because of our kindles left in the cabin bag. I hope this helps Have a nice journey.

No labels that say Toxic/skull and bones/poison. Batteries (Ego type) turned off/loose rechargeables in cases. Double bag juice bottles and tanks. Chargers "should be" switching so only a Uk to US adapter would be needed. (Confirm your device(charger/usb dongle) accepts a range of input voltages) Consult your destination about local vaping laws. Have fun I TSA 3-1-1 rule is identical to graphic below.

All right now I know correctly so I was wrong. I always had max 100ml with me Good to know I can have more than that.
