... but alot of stuff that I've read about quitting kinda implied that after a year or so the damage youd done to your body from smoking was virtually reversed & i'd never seen anything that said it affected our DNA ! I was also surprised to see our DNA might be harmed. I've never seen that comment before. Like most around here, I've seen those charts/tables that suggest standard recovery times after quitting smoking. You know they sorta go after 48 hours all the nic is out of your system; after 2 weeks your airways start to heal; after .... and so on. BUT I always thought them a bit simplistic and perhaps even misleading. I mean if I had only smoked for 6 months and that was 40 years ago, I really wonder if I'd have any measurable negative affects remaining. Conversely, if I had already developed emphysema or COPD after decades of smoking, I doubt that quitting now would see any marked improvement in those conditions (although I've heard from sufferers that their conditions certainly eased significantly after switching to vaping). But the bottom line to me is that study strongly supports the old comments we've all heard frequently that we help ourselves significantly by quitting.

Just done the maths on my past cigarette spending habit Lobey, on a good week I'd chug through 300 - which at those prices as I never did rollies, comes in at a purse busting, cancer inducing £132.15 a week!!! I've just looked up my Vape Spend spreadsheet. It's a little over 3 years since I switched. Based on the price that applied to cigarettes when I quit: * After all my vape spend (nic, juice, mods, bats, chargers, atties, everything) Ive still saved about 7700 Pounds Stirling. * And not smoked about 32,000 smokes. Makes you stop and think . . . . and yet again rejoice for the brilliant option we all use and enjoy. Oh yes!
