With some trepidation, I am hereby asking for recommendations for a new mod for myself. Firstly though, I must explain why. Over the weekend I travelled to Hertfordshire for a wedding, and took my (up until now) faithful IPV5 with me. En route, my rucksac with vaping gear in began emitting a most pleasant aroma of Vanilla Custard, and on arrival at my hotel, unpacking the rucksac revealed that 4ml of VC had leaked from my Geekvapes Eagle tank all over my IPV5. After a careful clean-up, including the silicone sleeve, I discovered that it wouldn't switch on - no great surprise really! The screen powers up briefly when I insert the batteries but the five-clicks to switch on has no effect. Really gutted, as the mod has been so reliable up until now. Anyway, to a new mod. I'm needing a twin 18650 mod with 120w capability, not fussed about TC to be honest, a good clear screen, not bothered about gimmicks, flashing lights, powerbank, underwater basket-weaving ability, etc., just something not too large and reliable that will last well. Budget is around the £60 mark, as dosh is a little tight at the moment, and the chance to pick it up somewhere local so I can pay cash and avoid the OH's eagle-eyed take on our finances would be a great plus! Off you go, and please be gentle! Andy B P.S. if anyone has any ideas on how I might be able to revive my IPV5, I would be interested too

Hmm, interesting so far, the Minikin wasn't on my mental list, but it looks very nice. Keep the ideas coming folks, I'm open to all suggestions at this stage. I still have my Smok R200 and old X-Cube2 so not stuck for mods in the meantime!

rx200 is my fave mod at moe spesh with the new update were they have added preheat and changed the ss tc trickery for the better and when it go wrong in ss you can still use it in tc it is however a heavy beast with 3 batts and way over what you need or want the new rx2/3 is prob going to be my next mod when this one gives up as I rarely go above 100 watts,it is a fair bit smaller in 2 batt mode and with one less batt wont do as good an impression of a house brick the only oss downside is the 510 wich was killed buy tanks with long threads like the ft4 and animals forcing them all the way in they say they have improved the 510 but it looks the same to me(only had one tank that wouldent sit flush and that was a doge dripper oh and if you get board of how the screen looks try here ;p www.customvapefirmware.com/hope that helps

Lord knows i love the Minikin, bought 4 of the buggers. Keep in mind though it's really only suitable for 22mm/23mm atties at most. Thought i would mention that as you say you were using a 25mm in your opening post. Here's a thought why not go for a single 26650 mod rather than a twin 18650? That's what i did, i wanted something smallish to carry about but plenty of battery life. I went with the Hotcig DX75, you can fit a 30mm attie on it with no overhang so 25mm is no problem. GB have the red/black version in a flash sale for £49.98 good price for a DNA75. www.gearbest.com/temperature-control-mods/pp_365212.htmlThe other colours are £76.81

OK, two riders to my opening post. First, I really don't want to go down the road of 3-battery mods. I only have a 2-bay charger, and don't want the additional expense of buying sets of 3 batteries and a new charger - that blows my budget out of the water before I get around to a mod! I have 6 pairs of married batteries which I want to get some more life out of (some are only a month old). Secondly, I rarely run anything at more than 100w, and that's only a dripper occasionally after the Boss has retired for the night Having 2 mods already which can put out at least 150w, if I feel so inclined I can use them. My Griffins, Eagles (yep, 25mm but I'm not too fussy about a mil or two of overhang), Tornado and VCMT never get run at more than around 75w so I am figuring that 120w gives me a decent margin of error. The main priority is a mod which I can use for the majority of the day without swopping over batteries, runs at around 75w maximum and above all is reliable. I'm fed up with mods dying after 6 months (my Koopor Plus did that almost 6 months to the day!), and just want something with some longevity.
