Evening all,
I received my new Kanger Subtank Mini today - absolute bargain for a tenner.....or was it....?
Primed the pre-fitted coil (1.2ohm) - let it settle - filled up with juice - moved the watts up slowly and........nice, pretty big clouds and bu**er all flavour (Like, absolutely nothing....)
I was using Mole Juice Freshly Squeezed @ 70/30 VG
Cleaned out the whole tank. Dried it. Spoke to it really nicely (kind of....) and refilled with Rejuiced Dragons Milk (extra shot, steeping since 27/7)
Result? Absolutely the same - lots of pretty clouds and bu**er all flavour :-(
I know that @bren got the same tank from the same place and was saying the flavour was excellent.....
I've played around with the air holes and the wattage. I've been looking on Google for the past couple of hours (lots of threads about muted flavour but no real solutions apart from cleaning out the tank which I've already done).
I then thought dreaded "vaping tongue" but my Crown and Cleito are still rocking it with Red Astaire and Cornish Cream Tea
(Sorry, again....) Help please.......

I would rather not vape that particular coil. Like I don't think the Cubis 1.5ohm gives any taste either. Kanger mess around with the airflow to make it supposedly MTL friendly, but I don't buy that it keeps the same potential for flavour. Basically, it lets less juice to coil, therefore less concentration of flavor in the vapour. I say it's the coil, not the tank. I use the 0.5ohm on the subvod and it kicks out some taste. If I put the 1.2ohm in it basically sucks and once you've 'turned it up' to get it vaping decent (not on the subvod but a VW mod), you are going to burn it out shortly.
Yup. Not good.

How old is the juice? If a bottle of juice is from a fresh batch, sometimes it might need time to steep If your getting cloud and not flavour
I don't know the juice or manufacturer, so its a rough guess

Have to agree with djs the subtank needs a subohm coil to reach its flavour potential. I found the RBA slightly more forgiving at higher ohms.

Thanks guys - I will give the 0.5 sub-ohn coil a bash Lee - The Dragons Milk has been steeping for 2 months & the Mole Juice is from early August - both juices work well with my Nautilus and Cleitos. Both are 3mg nicotine.

yeah I read a few protank 4 reviews and most said that the coilart coils bring it to life. I deliberated over buying at that price and getting coils but decided I was swimming in atty's already ah... you meant subtank ignore me! <<<I'm getting selective!! no more mad impulse buys when I see a bargain
