Q - Ahhh! They were the free samples with another order? I got those before but didnt use them Perpetua gave me some contact details and I have sent them a message and a copy of the photo. I'm assuming by the labels on the 30ml bottles they are filled by Chef's.

The FM Forest Fruits is a triacetin-based concentrate which frequently separates, especially in higher-vg mixes, and I'd guess the Red Gin will be too.

I'd just give the bottle a decent shake before dripping and probably give a tank tankful the same treatment every now and again.

Not my best attempt at a photograph, but I mixed some Cuberon this morning @12% max VG and several hours later it's still perfectly clear. ( It's the bottle that is opaque. ) It wouldn't have bothered me if it had gone cloudy mind, I'd would still use it as I've other concentrates that do just that and they're fine.

Hey Perpetua thanks for doing that still having issues tho all vg and its turning into what can only be described as paste...I've read up that triacetin doesn't mix well if at all with straight vg....how do you keep it clear? Do you warm your vg? Thanks

I didn't do anything special or different at all got to say solac77 . . . . . chucked my VG nic in, then the flavouring ( went a bit higher on ratio as I always do ) then added some very slightly diluted ( with water ) Boots VG until it looked about the right level in the bottle, which is just under the neck for me - to allow for some tweakage if needs be. Gave it a shake, fully expecting it to go cloudy . . . . and it didn't, still hasn't infact as I've just checked again. Strange what has happened to yours.

Thanks for following this up, the only thing I did differently was that I put my flavouring in first then the Nic and Vg can't imagine that would change anything that drastically. I will try another mix this morning

Shouldn't make any difference what order you add the ingredients in solac77 . . . . it all gets mixed up the same! It will be interesting to hear what happens on your next lot - out of curiousity, what bottle size of concentrate did you buy? I just bought 10ml to see what it was like. Just wondering on the off chance if there could be a difference in batches if you bought a larger volume.

Well I did a mix this morning with biscuit and it went cloudy and gloopy. That was with a 10ml pg free sample. The Cuberon is pg free and 10ml The Custard I have is a 30ml pg free
I've had a clear mix with added vodka but its a heavy on the vodka but just wanted to see if it would clear so maybe I can adjust the vodka...such a shame as it taste good but looks horrible.

HI Guys,
The concentrates are PG and Triactin based and a mixture of both flavour bases.. PG free are Triactin based which means they will not mix will with max VG juices juices and mix better with a higher pg base. Just like the Flavourwest lemonades are all Triactin based which do not mix with well with higher VG juices.
So any of the PG free concentrates which are Triactin based which will make the final mix go cloudy and should clear once steeped for a couple of weeks and may separate with a Max VG mix, also try to stick to the recommend mix % with Triactin based concentrates.. If you have concerns about separation and cloudy mixes try stick to PG and VG based concentrates. Hope this answers your questions..

Seems a bit strange Chefs Vapour Karl most people who buy PG free concentrates will do so to create a max VG juice. It rather defeats the object if you have to mix it with PG. (It does explain why mine are clear though, I still prefer 50/50 mix)

(It does explain why mine are clear though, I still prefer 50/50 mix) Mine is also clear . . . . . and other than a little water ( added to aid viscosity ) it's all VG/VG based Q, plus I mixed it at a slightly higher ratio than is recommended.
