I was about to spend double what I've ever spent on a piece of vape gear before when I noticed this on the dealer's website:-
WE INSPECT EVERY MOD BEFORE SHIPPING TO CUSTOMERS SO WILL ARRIVE IN PERFECT CONDITION IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES PLEASE RETURN IT TO CRAVING VAPOR WHERE THEY WILL HONOUR THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY, WE HAVE NO SPARES OR REPLACEMENTS HERE. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON OTHER THEN DOA
Does the fact that these things supposedly come with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer alter the dealer's obligations under SOGA?
I can understand that the dealer doesn't want to have responsibility for the warranty for ever, but if for example a couple of months down the line the thing developed a fault I wouldn't really want to have to return it to the USA.

As I understand things, when you make a purchase, you enter into a contract with the retailer and not the mnufacturer. Rather than purchase from this retailer, end up jumping through hoops and experiencing untold grief should things go wrong, I would purchase from another vendor. It seems like the vendor in question wants to sell the device for a % of the profit but doesn't want to be troubled in the event of a problem, IMO.

They are also breaking Consumer Contract Regulations with their Trading terms.

£115.00 and no guarantee, they are F*****g crooks. Please don't use this dealer. It's best that companies that do this should go bust.

Thanks all. Yeah pretty much what I thought. They want the profit with none of the obligations. Arfur Daley's gone into the vape business
