Hi thebishman, I had reason to clean out my latest Nautilus Base this morning and found that it is different from my older bases. On the older bases, if you stick a pin through any air hole, you can see the shaft of the pin viewed from the top. On the latest bases, there is a deeper side ring behind where the knurled ring sits that prevents any access through the airholes. I'm sure the manufacturers have a good reason for changing the bases, although for the life of me I cannot see why as this makes the base more likely to clog. Thats interesting lobeydosser. I guess id be after the older version then. I intennd on taking it to work and carefully opening up the largest hole by 0.5mm and seeing if that makes a difference.

Yes thebishman, The older version for sure. You will have to drill through both the knurled ring and the airhole. I have only used the Nautilus for the past 2+ years and always at the widest airhole. The unit just suits me.

I have them thebishman, all clones from FT and not a bad one in the bunch I bought, I flogged a couple on here as I had too many of them. They are alright, more adjustable draw than the Nautilus tanks. Those ones in the link look the same as the FT ones.
