Having big problems with a kayfun 5. It's been a pain since I bought it. I think the o rings have swollen even though I've been lubricating them and now I can't undo it at all. is there anyone who'd be willing to have a go with it? I'd be happy to pay! I have got some spare o rings I can post with it if it's undo able .

jacq13 have you tried soaking it in hot soapy water and gripping it with marigolds and give it a good twist?

Now I can't get the o rings off and because it leaked all the time however I wicked it was wondering if there were better quality o rings I could buy to stop this problem?

No its an original. Got a clone and that doesn't have any problems! If I could get the o rings off I was going to try the spares from the clone. There must be a trick to removing them, they don't want to budge

Have you tried getting a tiny flat head screwdriver to prise them from their grooves? When you built it did you lube the O rings with some juice?

Small flat head persision screw driver is what you need. You'll need to dig it in underneath the o rings but it will work.
I actually found that using the K5 wore the o rings in a bit and now mine never gets stuck. I still make sure that the o ring at the base of the deck and bottom of the threads that the tank is screwed to are lubed before I put my tank back on after cleaning.
Not sure whether replacing your o rings is the answer to the problem you are having.

This is why I gave up on the kF4's a good while ago. For such expensive items the thread lock is horrendous. Shame really as otherwise I would never have parted with the 2 I had

Thanks everyone for the tips. Haven't removed the original o rings yet, they're really stiff even tho I always lube them with vg but will persevere as Tonyb said with use it might wear them in a bit. It's really put me off buying originals tho! Leaking problem seems to have cleared up too but only if I wedge as much cotton as poss in, unlike the videos show. Not sure why
